Roadtrip #1 | Lake Vegoritida / Palaios Agios Athanasios | A Sunday well spent 

•Welcome to Pics-in! This is a a roadtrip to Lake Vegoritida and a stop at the village Palaios Agios Athanasios.
•Lake Vegoritida is a large natural lake in western Macedonia, northern Greece. It is situated 6 km northeast of Amyntaio and 18 km west of Edessa, at 540 m elevation. The Voras Mountains lie to the north. It belongs partly to the Florina regional unit and partly to the Pella regional unit.
•Palaios Agios Athanasios is a traditional settlement at the foot of the Voras or Kaimaktsalan mountains, on the Piperitsa peak, next to Lake Vegoritida at an altitude of 1,200 meters. It is 28 km from the city of Edessa and only 10 km from the ski resort Kaimaktsalan.
