Totally agree. Even the title of this video is ridiculous 'Sensitive language'? There's nothing sensitive about the language, we just have a society now breeding a victim mentality with too many narcissists looking to find offence where none exists, or is even implied. Utter grotesque madness that this was even considered!

This is far worse than ordinary censorship. Censors seek to replace or hide objective truth. An old-fashioned censor would remove a reference to a military unit suffering increasing losses and reports of a leader losing a debate. It’s wrong but the intent is clear. This new censorship seeks to change language so that reality can’t be described at all. One phrase that has been removed is “mother and father”. Every single person on earth has a mother and father. It has been replaced with “parents”. A universal reality can, now, not be described. Inanimate objects cannot be described as black or white so the tractor cannot, now, be black. In this new world you cannot write the truth as everyone witnessed in that the car that hit the tree was white because an obsession with race has removed our ability to describe the ordinary. These things and invented words like trans-woman are designed to confuse and to rob us of ordinary communication. They aren’t designed to help but to undermine society and create confusion. Ordinary censorship simply hides or lies about the truth but this new form makes it impossible to describe either a truth or a lie.

@@pascalromeijn8241 You can always change your mindset on things my friend. I do agree that there are many negative thoughts and opinions that are a part of us though.

And the ‘sensitivity readers’ remove the word ugly, thus making the whole section meaningless.

You can codify your copyright now. Dahl died before the law was changed and Netflix now owns all of his works and will cut them apart as they see fit.😡

Authors will either not write or edit their thoughts (which will become reflexive and automatic) before they’re even formulated into sentences.

It's not their place to tell me what I can and can't express and the rest of us adults need to start telling these children no. If we'd just told them no in the first place, maybe we wouldn't be here now. We're ALL as a society to blame for allowing this behaviour that we know is wrong, and accepting that would empower us to take back control of the boundaries they have overstepped. The only reason they have ANY power is because they never got told no.

Ironically the characters form charlie and the chocolate factory fit the overall cancel culture. Gluttonous on there own unrealistic world view, entitlement to demand change of classical literature, elitism to accuse you of prejudice if you disagree.
