@@OutlierTrading I am also a NYer, Long Island. My buddy and I would take off almost every weekend down the Jersey turnpike to AC and gamble with everything comped. Sometimes we won big on roulette and sometimes went home with pennies. lol Great times, LOVED AC and the vibes. Now, I'm in Florida and my buddy is also soon leaving NY for FL.

Just so we're clear here: Doing it on the weekly chain is dumb, but playing the 128c on the leap as a Vega scalp is insanely profitable. I did this the whole 2021 run on the 910c. You can 6-7x on a proper run and don't need to worry about how high the price goes. You just need to focus on buying relatively low IV and selling on spikes.

very very low probability trade unfortunately. one of those systems that will lose a little very frequently in the hopes of eventually catching a spike. entirely possible, but difficult as a broader strategy.

@@OutlierTrading the Jan 17 128c went from $1.87 - $2.48 on todays baby run. That's over 30%. You don't have to worry about delta or gamma at all. You have months of theta to capture profit with very low premium as the strike is so high. Gme is a textbook vol short play by institutions, the safest play is VOL not gamma/delta. On a big rip like I traded in March and June 2021 the contracts did 700%. Most stocks don't give you the opportunity bc the chains don't go high enough, but gme does. I don't see how buying options makes any sense in this IV. Selling naked calls is dumb with how crazy the overnight moves are even if you are manually hedging. I'm not buying shares to sell covered calls on a company worth $13/share. Selling puts might be the only viable option but you would need to actually want the shares if you get assigned. If this is "Very low probability" despite having MONTHS to capture profit and having opportunities to capture profit on small $2-3 moves than idk what to tell you: Go buy Itm calls with a iv30 of 140+%. Thats definitely safer.

I haven't deleted anything nor is anything help up for review by YT. I don't delete any comments, free speech out here. but your position is most interesting because there isn't a 128C in 17Jan25 expiry... The closest is the 125s which hit a high of 2.48 today so I'll assume you mean those? the move from 1.86 to 2.48 represents is a $61 when GME moved 5.4%, so nothing really exciting. holding 100 shares would've made more money. that's the issue with super far OTM options, you really don't see much of the move unless things REALLY move. even then, you still won't make more money than something with higher deltas, but you would see a much higher % return on your invested capital with is just a vanity metric. dollars in pockets is what ultimately counts. I absolutely hope whatever position you have on pays out for you.

I'm interested now that biggy theory is out there surely any whale or non short institution can do this. The biggest problem with his stuff is it's hard to verify large purchases of shares and calls. It's only because kitty publishes his that we really know. It's good that you are looking through all this.

do you have access to all option orders? DFV is known to buy chunks of calls in 1000s and 5000s packs. like unusual whales? if nothing shows up, then RK likely hasnt bought any calls. The only thing proving that otherwise, atm would be him releasing another YOLO update. he had 6.3 Million in cash available, and the theory is that he buys calls today or tomorrow, as he has done previously before the t+35 expiration dates, and thursday is the next one.
