Being a medico myself i can speak for everyone when i say that no such awareness is included in our curriculum about lgbtq community. But in our college several programs were organized, talks by members of the lgbtq community which were enlightening. Hats off for your effort . Must do more videos related to this.
as a medico i second that , there is absolutely nothing in curriculum , but various discussion & seminars conducted by student bodies is definitely helping new era of dr's in understanding about the issues

I was a transphobic and homophobic before 2yrs. After I joined my college the section 377 was declared as unconstitutional and many of my friends were celebrating, they screened some movies, formed new club, I felt the same as you mentioned at the beginning, where this world is going to?. . I even realized some of my friends were homosexual but didn't reveal initially , some were so confused about their gender. I realised how hard to be in that scenario then. When the world is chasing for their dreams there r people who are confused about gender ,their way of living, the pressure of society, ignorance from others and a lot more. My perspective changed so much. It changed when I spent time with them, realized the situation, but I don't think everybody will get a chance like that. This video very well explained it. Yes, very true, sex education is very important . Also, it is very sad that Gayathri doesn't understand that the elderly did not get the same. Hi chechi, As a Lesbian, watching your video makes me really happy and hopeful that atleast the newer generation will accept me..... I've been facing depression ever since I realised that I'm into people who are the same gender as I'm. Ashamed to say that this mainly arises from the internalized homophobia we are all fed in with from the childhood itself. I'm just 16 but this same homophobia has made me stand on the edge of giving up my life. When I normally speak to my parents about the LGBTQ+ community they seem quite forward and accepting, but when I came out to them they ignored me saying that this was just a phase and was because I watched too much of social media 😂.... You know there was a incident at my school when I was studying at plus one.A doctor came to my school for talking to us.He said transgenders was just an emotional imbalance and can be treated and he also criticized the science community for complicating things(his own words) by adding transgender as separated gender besides male and female.Then he criticized Western countries for legalizing homosexual marriages and also criticized India for doing the same.The most sad part of this was a boy at my school asked the doctor a question regarding the homosexuals.He asked the doctor should us educated the homosexual that what they are doing is wrong.This proves how much transphobic and homophobic people influence the youth of today I think videos like this very great and should be seen by everyone

The catholic church doesn't promote homophobia in fact the opposite.(as I know about it, I have limited knowledge about other religions) I agree with what you said that in the past many sad incidents happened. I know religion hasn't been good always and in the past as well. The church has asked forgiveness in public for the mistakes done in the past. Speaking of which, but when it comes to the charity, religion indeed has more on the good side than the bad in today's world. People divide among each other, not religion. An atheist may divide himself from a theist.
