Robert Holmes "Rob" Bell Jr. (born August 23, 1970) is an American author, motivational speaker and former pastor. Bell was the founder of Mars Hill Bible Church located in Grandville, Michigan, which he pastored until 2012. Under his leadership Mars Hill was one of the fastest-growing churches in America. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Love Wins and the writer and narrator of a series of spiritual short films called NOOMA

Wow I came across this while looking for history of the area, such a good presentation, many of us forget to think of the trials that Christians went through and still go through in that part of world. Thankyou in Jesus name for a valuable reminder to remind ourselves we are all part of a bigger picture.

I’m convince an American Christian that no the covid vaccine IS NOT the mark of the beast. Are all Americans this insane? Maybe religious fundamentalism is making people mentally sick? Voltaire was right. And people keep taking scripture out of its context to the time and place it was written. John was writing a letter using common Jewish ways of communicating but which the Roman Empire couldn’t undo or understand. This presentation by Rob Bell makes sense. Thank goodness for sensible people like Rob. I’m glad I live in the U.K.

The second person with the historical approach to revelation. We cannot just approach revelation with a future mindset. Also present and past. That puts the puzzle pieces together.

Rev 17. 6th ruler is Nero. Hes current. Sorry we aren't in AD96. Irenaeus was wrong on AD96 and he was also wrong on the antichrist.

@@joesteele3159 yes but inelegant people will look for consistencies and evidences of other Civilisations predating Christ, and the new world. And see what the religions were in depth and and explained, rather than short summaries. For example tablets from the stone age, etc. These saurces are reliable, some evidence cannot be messed with. If there is no evidence that is a worry, we found People of Khemit from over 4000 years ago. Human remains from 200000 years ago, forgive me for prefering to have knowledge than faith

Earthquakes a symbol of a change of order possibly? 5 earthquakes noted in Revelation. Five changes of order. The first three referring to fulfilled prophecy. The last two associated with the judgment and the destruction of the earth.

I love how amill's forget about Nero and how to decode prophecy from Daniel 7. Gotta love the quote from Ethelbert Stauffer (May 8, 1902 in Friedelsheim - August 1, 1979), sounds like a good trusted source! What about the 3.5 years of persecution of christians under Nero? ! So Domitian is the beast now? how dare he root out corruption and end Neptunism ! sounds like a real bad guy to me ! there are worst places in the world today for Christians than what happened generally speaking across the empire in this guys reign. Domitian took the power away form the senate, you trust his political appointments to give you an honest and unbiased account? Sounds like Domitian borrowed from a certian letter that was released prior to keep hold of people if you ask me !

⁠@@HellomuSic1296 I called him a goof because he presented ahistorical, decontextualized, mostly fictional story, through a corrupt lens. His presentation is childish, ignorant, and biased. So yeah. He’s a goof. And the best response you can come up with is a supernatural threat? My feelings are very hurt. I might even cry on my pillow later.
