Thanks. A flannel in Aus is a shirt mostly worn in rural areas as its rugged. I was thinking, where's the challenge in that? Running down the hallway in a shirt? Big deal.

@@MrAkaacer In Canada, flannel just refers to the type of fabric. "Wearing a flannel" sounds just as weird to us as "wearing a leather". Like.... a flannel what? "Flannels" in plural is used by some people to refer to flannel long underwear and that's what I initally thought they were talking about. The story made sense to me too up until someone made a joke about using the flannel to cover her face.
