I find Rob interesting, when I began watching the series when I was younger I would notice him show up in Season 1 as a background character and referred to him as a blue cyclops, then I learned his name was Rob in Season 2. I didn't really think about him after that but when they brought him back and tied his story to the Void(which became one of my favorite episodes because of how weird it felt with them acknowledging missing characters and how they poked fun at things in real life that became obsolete.) I was amazed and is one of the reasons I enjoy overarching storylines. I also found him to be an entertaining villain as Doctor Wrecker and how funny his British accent was(with The Nemesis and The Bus becoming some of my favorite episodes due to how funny I found them and how they tied into Rob's story). The Disaster and The Rerun I really enjoyed because of how Rob managed to beat Gumball and then deliver a monologue about how he never wanted to be evil and just wanted to be recognized and how he learnt that their existence is a lie and that they are cartoon characters, but when Gumball risks his life to save Rob, he resets all the damage he caused. And in the end he discovered that the Void was going to consume the World because the World had grown to view itself as a mistake and tried abducting Barbara to try and alter the future or try to get everyone to become humans so either they could continue the show so the world wouldn't collapse on itself or so they could escape to the real world. But in the end Rob was sucked into the Void so he couldn't prevent it's plans.
I love Rob, he is my fav character in the show, I like how is deconnected from the show, he know more about the world they live and I really like that, and I think is kinda genius how a background character manage to be the main villian, they really did a good job on this character.
I remember those times when I watch episodes based on the character Rob back from 2016 - 2019. Rob is indeed the most iconic anti villain in "The Amazing World of Gumball". And I will always remember Rob saying this: I warned you... everyone you loved
Rob is 100% my fav character. He’s not an everyday villain, and there’s still a lot of mystery surrounding him. Can’t wait for season 7/the movie! Edit: ayy 2 thousandth viewer!
I feel like banana Barbara is the villain of amazing world of gumball. She can paint the future with the brush she has. And Rob was able to make a shark appear with the brush. So if banana Barbara painted the future, which is static that means she changed the future to be static. I also think she is a broken villain cause the first time the future paintings were in. Banana Joe explains that Barbara was pushed so hard to the limit by her boss. (The crumpled paper guy) then she decided to paint the future. But she got a idea to get revenge. Paint the future to static
I don't think she painted the future as static on purpose but because that's what truly happens to fictional characters. Whenever a game or a TV show ends, they don't live their own lives like us in the real world, no, they return to being a sea of static and pixel, because they don't exist. Regardless of what she paints, once the show ends, it will always end in static, there is no future.
She said it herself, she can only change what's left. She can't create a future. She only perceives what will happen, and then paints it, altering slight details.

the best part about tawog, is that when you look closely to where Rob was falling into static, you can see the pig tail Barbara gave him in the painting scene the little details, the fact that they give an answer to where some background characters are gone (but where is tobias' sister....) its just, great
tbh i used to stay at my sister's house when i was younger and i accidently only got to watch the last episode of the show (which was the reason im so inlove with his character now) and i used to pretend that he was one of my "imaginary friends" and i would always think that he was the main character and once all of that settled down i stopped liking TAWOG at all but now that i decided to see why i liked the show i'm starting to wonder a crap ton of things but all of that aside i love this show and i love Rob he was an amazing character if the movie ever comes out then i REALYYYY hope that hes in it
Truly the show most tragic character sad what happened to Rob went from a noboby to a villian I hope he gets turn back to normal before the show ends and sees the error of his ways.
Tbh I kinda relate to rob, i mean he has no friends and just wants people to understand… Also i am proud to admit I was kicking my legs up and down and was smiling whenever he shows up on screen
If an anti hero is someone who does bad things for a good reason wouldn’t that mean an anti villain does good things for a bad reason? Rob does good things??
