Rob Lowe seems to be about as normal of a person as you can be when you're super handsome, rich, and famous. ...Which still isn't especially normal, but good for him!
JFK Jr. was way ahead of his time when it came to George Magazine. The snob reviewers panned it but I feel like many are now just realizing what he was trying to do with it and how different it was from magazines of its day.
Howard seems to project his insecurities on his interviewees, by asking them, didn't you feel resentful? Wasn't that a bummer? You didn't get the part? Blah bla bla
Sometimes, but he's a pretty clever interviewer. Most of the time, he's thinking about the person he's interviewing, and he'll ask a question as if to say, "If that was me, I'd feel this way. Did you?" It's a smart way to put the person you're interviewing at ease, to make them feel less judged, and more willing to talk openly. It's one of the ways Howard manipulates his guests into being more honest.
Rob Lowe - there are pictures of him - likes to do that hobo shit, I.e., illegally ride freight trains. He just grabs a backpack and takes the train to wherever it goes. We’re all different.
