As soon as I seen the contract, the first thing that came to mind was colin bringing up the " can't afford free-agents arguement".. Like seriously, Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the league, overall in history the most talented quarterback, GB has failed to put a loaded team around him to the point he doesn't have to carry the entire team... if your not going to compensate your quarterback with Elite Talent around him, at the very least compensate him with a huge contract. No hate here, get your money Aaron!

Also this Extension Kicks in 2020/2021 season. He gets paid this season and next one his old deal. After that he makes 33.5 Million a season. Bortels makes the next 3 years 19 Million a season.Cousins 28.Brees 25 this and next season. I think if Wentz,Goff,Dak,Wilson,Cam get News deals 30 Million a year for a QB will be normal. Matt Ryan signed a 5 year 150million Deal earlier this offseason. I would rather pay Rodgers 33.5 Million compare to Ryan 30 Million.

@@adrianbuck8772 the no help for Rodgers argument is dumb every team has the same cap space Rodgers gets his receivers paid and he takes his. Driver Cobb Adams Nelson finely Jennings all got paid all stayed at least 6+ years with him. This year alone they're spending around 30 million more on they're offense then their defense. He wants his numbers he wants his offense stacked and gets made when the Packers finally trade one of their many highly paid receivers

@@nicholasmccune7949 Rodgers has no running game. None. For years. Also the defense against the Pass was in the 20ths. Nobody says ne needs good defense and running game. But if a team like the Falcons can manage to put that together (with Ryan,Jones,Sanu,Freeman...) why should we should be fine that the Packers didnt got it done in a decade? Also Pittsburghs defense was good time Shaizier got injured. Right now i like Green Bays defense . Front is good and they have a talented secondary. New Defensiv Coordinator. I think it will work well enough.

It’s very hard for me to relate to people that ask for autographs. I just don’t care enough. I’ve seen celebs and athletes and though “oh that’s x or y” never have I wanted a picture or an autograph. I can see a kid wanting that. To me grown adults asking for pictures or saying “hey Odell can you dance?” Is pathetic.

StarScreamTVLive i completely agree. The only time i think it makes sense to talk to a celebrity is if you would also talk to a complete stranger in the same scenario. For example if you are next to each other at the cashier line. Or if you’re opening a door for someone. But going across a restaurant to disturb someone while they’re eating is rude. I don’t care if it is Lebron James or Jay-Z.

As for the fumble, why exactly was Ripowski touching the ball in the first place? That's dumb playcalling. Packers have a little over $100m in future guaranteed money on their books. The Vikings have $250m and the Lions have $125m committed. Cobb and Mathews $12m come off the books next year, Perry's money was front loaded, and Dbak and Adams are on great deals. Oh Colin, where did Jimmy Graham sign as a UFA? Even his contract is favorable. Got plenty of cap space to chase Mack and show him the money. This deal for Rodgers is front-loaded. We got flexibility for the future and 2 firsts next year.

In 2 seasons. Right now the Cap is at 177.2Million. It increased 10.2 Million compare to the 2017 season.The projected Cap in 2019 is 190million. In 2020 200 Million. If the projections are true Rodgers is underpaid.

Mark Robinson he still had 31 TD to 8 INT. Brady had a year recently where he went 25 TD to 11 INT. Green Bay blows without Rodgers. They almost lost the Browns last year when he sat. The Patriots went 11-5 without Brady in 2008. The year he got suspended, they went 3-1.

omieg89 I agree the Packers were lousy last year without Aaron. The main reason for that is they had a lousy backup. How do you think they would have done if they had Tom's backup JimmyG last year when Aaron went down I am sure he would have kept them alive until Aaron returned. Look what JimmyG did with the niners . Look at what the Eagles did with Foles went Wentz went down. This is not a valid argument for how good Aaron, Wentz or Tom are, it is an argument for how good the backup QB's are. It is one of many lame excuses used in an argument by the Aaron apologists constantly however and it is getting old.
