This hurts as a warriors fan. Klay has been such a reliable, humble, drama free player his whole career and also signed with sponsors that promoted mental health which I think is cool. But man the last few years have been rough. His performance is inconsistent and unreliable. He has had some absolutely terrible games. If he was playing with Lebron he would be taking all the blame and heat for losing. He needs to understand that he isn’t a max player anymore. He should take a page out of Tim Duncan’s book and just take less money to stay with the organization and help fill the team with young talent.

Look, this is a team with a crazy, high salary cap (or they have exceeded the cap by the 2nd apron, or whatever) that just missed the playoffs. 2 yrs at 48 mil seems more than fair. With that said, I like the move for Klay to Orlando. A lot of ppl forget that he played his college ball in Washington (WSU) and Paolo is from Washington (but he's probably a Huskies fan coming from Seattle). I like the veteran leadership Klay could provide to a young team. I also think Paolo can become one of the faces of the league, he's that good. I know Orlando is not right on the water, but it's still Florida. Klay would have a ball.

As a Warrior's fan, we love Klay. But there have been signs of this. Klay likes to take things personally. Honestly I'm not even surprised that Klay unfollowed the Warriors, because he likes to pout when he doesn't get his way. And I get it, Klay worked his ass off after the injury, even on days when it must have been super hard and he didn't want to push through the pain of physical therapy. But that's part of professional sports. Kobe did it. KD did it. Why are you special Klay? It hurt us a lot, your fans, when you got injured. But it's not like the Warriors have done you wrong. They paid Klay AFTER he got injured, a 5 year $190 million contract, and during a lot of that Klay didn't play. Then more recently, they offered him a fair (more than fair) contract given his declining performance: 48 million for 2 years. I'd be shocked if he gets close to that from another team. I get where Klay is coming from, but this is beneath a player of his stature.
