My grandfather died this morning. He was 98. I was blessed to have him for 48 years. One lesson he taught me was to truly celebrate each Birthday … it means you have survived another year! I will never forget you grandpa. ❤

We played this at my husband’s funeral. He used to sing along to it on the way home from chemo. He was 33.

I lost my parents 6 years part..(03 and 09) lost my brother 2 years ago today and my oldest sister 13 days ago...none made it out of their 60's......everyday is a gift!

For me, this song really reaches me. I have depression and some days are bad, others are worse. A few times I came close to dying young. Its hard to not give up on life, but whenever I hear this song, I just...I regain hope, I regain life. I realize that life is a struggle, and depression can drag you down, but I shouldn't give up on life. This song just heals a wound I forget is there sometimes. Thank you Rob Thomas, thank you so very much. You have no clue how much you really helped me, no clue just how much this song saved my life.

I saw Matchbox 20 in concert in the summer of 2023 I know this song is just Rob but he's the lead singer and that was the best concert I've ever been to. They're even better live if you can imagine that.

Just experienced this song near the 10 year anniversary that a code blue was called on me in an ER. Yes, getting older comes with its complaints on a physical level, but really, it is a privilege that is not given to everyone. I love thé wisdom I have acquired in this life and that is far more valuable than what is on the surface and visible to the eye.

Also to those fearing to do what they want. This song has become my anthem. Five years ago, I was having severe manic episodes and insomnia. I'd be on this massive high and feel like life couldn't get any better, but then something little would happen and I felt so hopeless, worthless and sad. The lows could linger for days. I couldn't sleep, which made things worse. I didn't know what was wrong with me, so I tried to take my own life. My mom found me half dead and called an ambulance. They took me to the hospital, pumped my stomach, stabilized me, then sent me to the mental health ward. I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and prescribed a ton of meds. In the past few years, I've lost 11 friends and family members. The line "And I've seen my friends fall away before their time and I've been afraid that I may follow in their light" hits me hard, but not in a bad way. The pain of loss never goes away, you just learn how to move forward. Thank you Rob for your ability to put everything I feel into words. I'm 42 and have been a fan of Matchbox 20 since the first time I heard "Push" on the radio. When I listen to this song, I'm reminded that each day is a gift. The person who felt like life was too hard is gone and has been replaced with someone who tries to live each day to the fullest not just for myself, but for the people I love who are gone. I know I'm rambling. I guess all I can say is thank you Rob for your beautiful music that has been a presence in my life for the last 25 years. You've touched my heart and soul, and I can't wait to hear more music.
