It's mad to think, Robert has been in the band for 20 years and the longest serving bassist in the band. I still instinctively refer to him as the new bass player.
@@Dan16673... Not necessarily true. Though the Promoter and the artist(s) control the ticket prices, the ticket sellers like TICKETMASTER is hijacking that control. This is why the band PEARL JAM was battling them, because they charge outrageous prices. I used to work for BILL GRAHAM, the BIGGEST/MOST LEGENDARY concert promoter in the world, doing concert security from 1987-1993. Bill Graham always did what he could to keep ticket prices at a REASONABLE price.
It's crazy to imagine that the band members themselves are just standing right by the stage knowing there's fans RIGHT in front of them. Yet everyone is so respectful of their space. There's something humbling about the fact that...when you're seeing your hero right there, you almost realize that they're human just like you. So awesome to see such great respect & admiration between the band, the fans & the staff. THIS is how to put on a great & memorable show
I know Metallica when jason was the bassist,n fans always said jason is the new guy eventough jason serving bass longer than cliff.. N now i always tought that rob alwaya be a new guy eventough the fact rob is the metallica longest serving bassist..
they have sucked since 1989 but playing their stuff from 1983 to 1988 was good enough to keep them afloat for 34 more years though. Trejo is their worst bassist. seeing Metallica perform for the past two decades is like watching a 3rd rate Tribute band perform Metallica hits, it is horrid and exhausting. Hammett is still a one trick pony on lead guitar and after all these years he still cant learn more than just the damn Pentatonic scale? Lars is bearable but James is tough and impressive with his rhythm playing still. it has been time for Metallica to hang it up for over 20 years now damn! everybody has got to have brain damage to still watch these guys perform now, so sad.
1971 I saw Black Sabbath and they were my favorite rock band in the world. 1972 I was turned on to the psychedelic San Francisco sound - John Cipolinna was the best psychedelic guitarist in the world and still is & always will be. I didn't go into the opening act for the Stones in San Francisco 15 years ago ? Metallica - I must say that Metallica is the closest to the best hard rock guitarist Tony Iommi - and I like these guys, I've only heard some of their stuff, I don't listen to all of it. Satanist hard rock bands are superfluous, but I pray for Metallica to express the truth and that they do the good for God 🙏 and man
