Hi, thanks for this. Have just got a Mojo 2 🤩 Any clue on where to get that presentation Rob mentions that traces volume colours to voltage levels? Can’t find it anywhere 🤨 Thanks in advance for your help 🤗

Has anyone tried using a hi quality power supply with the mojo 2 ? I have used a powerful battery 🔋 power bank To my ears there is a lot more micro detail that stands. out I'm going to do some more listening tests

Is this viable for stereo applications? Can i just leave it plugged in without any problems?

just bought a mojo 2 and its really... really nice. my main headphones are audio 64 u12t in ears but i also have sony IER-M9 in ears and beyerdynamic dt1990 pro's. the mojo 2 is wonderful. cant compare it to the original mojo because i never had it but i do have a ifi zen dac v2 and soundblaster gc7 on hand and the mojo handily walks all over them for outright detail, imaging and soundstage, the EQ feature is very useful and plays a big part in how well you can shape this sound to your liking. im a big pc gamer in my spare time and so my preference was for the gc7 over the ifi zen dac due to having that ability to tweak the sound for my given game of choice at the time, i always thought the soundstage was really good but since using the mojo 2 i can honestly say its on another playing field to the gc7, the imaging and directionality of footsteps is starkly different and better and i can only put it down to the dac since its the only link ive changed in the chain this week before noticing this difference. music is also wonderful, if i had to pick a fault i would say the low gain isnt good enough power wise even for my IEM's, the sony M9 are not all that sensitive so do require a bit more juice but the u12t is plenty sensitive enough and yet are still far too quiet even at max low gain, when i kick into the high gain though and get halfway through that range (so green/blue on volume buttons) the power is more than adequate, the headphones come alive and its wonderful. i wish there was some actual software or an app to do some desktop sound tweaking but after a day i was used to doing it on the mojo anyway.... besides that its 10/10, i love the thing.

Bought one. Waste of money for me. No better than my Zen DAC V2.

@@phillipnunya6793 It offers nothing, for me, over my Zen or quite frankly even a $10 lightning to 3.5mm dongle. My hearing is fine, but in A/B tests with Tidal masters I hear no difference. I’ve since been told that my Grado overpower the difference any DAC might offer. I’m still skeptical, but for me a waste of money.

@@doifeellucky From what I understand, most Grado headphones are very easy to drive and don't benefit much from more power. As for signal quality, most Grados are probably the bottleneck for something like that. In my opinion, paying for Tidal "master" quality music and a really good DAC and amp is not worth it if you use headphones like Grados. I think you would be better off spending your money on another headphone that scales much better and going from there.

@@phillipnunya6793 Tidal was just a demo and I agree pointless at this level. I’ll ultimately use the Mojo as a DAC with with an amp so it isn’t a total waste. I specifically asked several reviewers if the Mojo would work with lesser headphones and all till recently said there would be some improvement. I agree that I should have put the money towards a better headphone but I live with my choices unlike those who constantly try and return stuff on Amazon. Thanks for your feedback.

Interesting I was going to upgrade my mojo 1 to this new one but it looks like it's a very minor upgrade in sound , have you got a chance to compare the two units?

i cant give you an answer to your question but i can say the mojo 2 is a really really nice dac/amp, ive owned it a few days now and also own a ifi zen dac v2 and soundblaster gc7 (mainly use my dac/amps at the desktop on pc), i think where the mojo 2 will improve on the 1 is in the EQ settings, they are really quite well done and even if you want the natural response your headphones put out you cant help but have a play and see what the EQ can do and often stumble across a result that really impresses. then ofcourse there are the other nice features like being able to leave it plugged in without just obliterating the battery, having the crossfeed implementation and ofcourse usb c connectivity. like i say i cant speak on the sound comparisons to mojo 1 but judging by what others say about mojo 1 its likely not going to be a world of difference, i mean what is in the audio world, its all pretty incremental, i think original mojo can fetch £300 on ebay so with that in mind i dont think the extra £150 to get the mojo 2 is a bad move, i think chord charge that kind of money just for a battery replacement on the mojo 1.
