First flight of my Roban MD-500E 800 with the mechanics mounted into the fuselage. I was working a vibration issue on my test rig and finally got it sorted out. Now it's time to add all the scale details and fine tune the controls.

Wow this is encouraging as I have just finished building my MD500. Might you have any throttle and pitch curve setting you used that seemed to work so well?? Appreciate it. Al

My pitch curves are -2 to 9 on all modes except auto which I have -3 to 9. The throttle I am running governed via my Castle 120HV ESC. My headspeed is set around 1200 or 1250......I think. I can't quite remember.

Oh please one last question. I want to set mine to Governed but wasn't sure of number f main teeth and pinion. I counted them and think its main-78 and pinion 20. I'd like to set the head speed to 1000.1100/1200 but the esc rejects it and says values too low? @@pilot482

In my castle I get a gear ratio. The gear ratio for my MD-500E and Airwolf is 13.827. I am in Vegas every so often. Sounds like fun.

What was vibrating out of curiosity?

The vibration was most noticeable in the tail fin. Ended up being a number of little things. The Blade balance was close but apparently not close enough with the 5 Blade head. Balanced the blades, reduced the headspeed, replaced the swash due to some slop and tracked the blades better.
