Time foul (Capito took the shot at 32 seconds. 13:48-14:20) HOWEVER the referee should have called the foul BEFORE Capito took the shot on the 9.

Capito had a shot clock violation. The players have 30 seconds to execute each shot. The score system and shot clock does not have any sound in the arena due to the proximity to the primary streaming table. So when the time expired, due to the noise from the other streaming table the Scoring Official attempted to tell the referee time had expired but had to repeat it louder. Thus the delay in calling the foul. Robbie wanted to review the footage to confirm but there is no way provided to do that. After a short discussion and confirmation by the Scoring Official and Mario He, the situation was resolved with the foul standing.

I've seen a lot of matches played where if the player is down on the shot and ready to shoot, they don't call a foul. It seems really subjective that sometimes fouls are called with only a 1 second violation and other times fouls aren't called with 5 seconds violations. How many times do they shoot with 15-20 seconds left on the clock? The point of the shot clock is so that games don't go for very long times because people are constantly taking minutes to shoot every shot. It's pretty petty, in my opinion, to be calling fouls over one second. 30 seconds vs 31 seconds. I think the shot clock detracts from the game. He made a really difficult shot and lost the game because of 1 second. You may say, well, everyone is playing by the same rules... they are, but I'm willing to bet, not every 1 second over 30 seconds is getting called on every player. They need to increase the amount of time people have. 30 seconds is ridiculous.

@@dryclimateutah yeah usually its only a foul if they stand back up from the shot after the clock expires. I think the ref got this call wrong.

Bad rule,; S/B if down on the shot,(as long as you don’t get up,) you are good. Just a bad rule. Don’t care for this kind of commentary. I try to learn when watching but these guys don’t know very well themselves.I still like watching,so thanks for sharing and Thanks for using the Correct ball colors !

The referee thought Capito miscued because the shaft bounced a bit after hitting the object ball but clearly it was not a miscue.

Time foul mate, time was up for him, he shot after 30 secs.

@@CicaeMeow the cue struck the ball almost 1 second too late... I'm willing to bet he was already in his backstroke before the timer went out... let the guy shoot! It was a difficult shot. They should be getting credit for shots where they only take 10-15 seconds to shoot. I hope they do away with the 30 second shot clock. It ruins the game.
