This was one of those bleary childhood memories that you could never get anyone to believe was a real thing. Admit it.

I remember this being a full length movie.... How did they manage to pack this much story into 30 minutes?!

“Stay there, I’ll put the kettle on!” *literally puts on a kettle* Cracked me up as a kid!

Had this on VHS when I was little... most of the jokes went right over my head at the time but I get them now which makes it more funny

Oh the memories watching this. I remember watching this on BBC One when it first aired in 1999 and my dad recorded it. Had it on VHS Tape along with Wallace and Gromit and other films/cartoons I use to watch during the Xmas period. Got the DVD back in 2007 and since then I watch it every Christmas period.

This is nostalgic and a beautiful work of art

I always LOVE Des Yeti and Alan Snowman, It dates it quite a bit but I think it's funny how they poked fun at Des Lynam's iconic moustache and hair... along with turning Alan Hansen into a Snowman. Alistair McGowan must've had a blast voicing.

It took my brother and I 14 years to get the Seal joke 😂😂😂

i don't know what made me remember this today, but i am very happy that searching "christmas reindeer stop motion" took me strait here, to nostalgia corner.

This aired on CBC in 1999 or 2000 I still love this edition and anybody who says they like the American version I'm breaking some legs.

"Don't smoke, you idiot" Lol! Funny how I didn't know those were the words that ashtray said as a kid.

I remember watching this Christmas Day, 1999! My parents had just bought me my first TV for my room, and we watched this and Christmas Top of the Pops before that (which Robbie Williams, who narrates this, was also on coincidentally).

"Right. When's the next bus out?" "Uhhh...April." "Training it is then." Love the timing in that scene. XD Also Blitzen cutting someone off before they say 'Rudolph' isn't really funny...but it's hilarious when he does it to Snowman and Snowman and Yeti look around wondering where the hell Blitzen came from. XD

I remember watching this with my family. Could never understand why me mum always fell about laughing at the Seal joke. i get it now.

My god, nearly 2 decades ago I never got the humour, now I saw this recommended, I can relive the older days while understanding more than 10% of the dialogue.

My parents recorded this off the telly on a VHS for me when I was a kid, and for some reason that definitely totally wasn't undiagnosed autism, I went through a phase of watching it and rewatching it over and over on a daily basis for months until I knew all the words and could mentally watch it in my mind and the vhs was starting to wear out. None of this looks or sounds familiar to me now decades later. Weird fever dream that I thought was a feature length movie.

I haven't seen this since I was the 90's. I loved the humour. The bits I remember are the Seal joke and Des Yeti.

I’ve been looking for this for YEARS but had no idea where to even begin to look for it. Of course it would just randomly appear in my recommendeds.

I was working my closing shift at Peter Piper Pizza (Arizona Chuck E Cheese) and this came in one of our TV's after college football, and some flood of nostalgia came over me, id never seen the full thing but I remember very vivid things in it. I looked up Aardman reindeer movie cause I didn't even know the name of it, it's crazy how time goes by and how even something you don't remember that much can make you feel nostalgia.

I remember my grandma taping this for me when it was on TV, thanks g’Ma 🎄❤️
