Whenever I find myself in a situation where I’m stuck and forced into listening to mainstream radio, if this track comes on by chance, the lyrics are always a breath of fresh air. Masterpiece.
Back in year 2002, every afternoon after school, I will do my homework in front of the radio, hoping that they will play this song. When it is being played, I will stop doing my work, close my eyes and just enjoy the music. This song hits home even in 2020..i was put into Foster care at 12 years of age and before that grew up in a house where there wasn't much love, I now have a home of my own with my own son making sure it's a home he feels real love. We can always turn life around for the good. ✌️

This song was a big part of my life when I was going through a very tough time 20 yrs ago and it helped me out a horrible hard part of my life and now I’m there again it came on in a restaurant yesterday and I was broken to tears! I haven’t heard it in a long time but for it to play again at this time again when I’m feeling this way mean’s so much to me! the songs sung by this guy are revealing so many deep chords in me that I had forgotten about from my early childhood. Hearing these songs along with hits from Oasis, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, U2 just bring back so many childish sing alongs with my little brother in the back of the car on the motorway towards my grandmas...9 years later and so much changed... wow nostalgia, thanks for that ;')

A lot of meanning in this song, it reflects the emotional conflict of someone that wants to find a higher and deeper love because its going to a waste with his current love. Sad but true.
