This is a really nice fan and I would love to fix this one. I have since taken the fan back apart to find the issue and I found that the bearings are loose in their mounts and they spin occasionally causing the noise so I wonder if it was seized in its past and was spun with the bearings still stuck to the rotor.

I have the pedestal version of one of those. Something to check with that Rt might be your blade set screw.

A pedestal version of this would be very nice indeed. The set screw is on tight I'll just have to open it up again and figure out the noise issue. I think since its been opened before I got it and its been a few years since I worked on it and I have gotten better at working on these since there might be a spacer missing in the gearbox causing the gears to chatter.

@@jayhubman1188 yeah if it isn’t the set screw being loose it’s likely shims in the oscillator gears.
