An unmissable hour with actor Robert Blake from JULY 2016. A Very hard to watch interview, mainly because of Piers Morgan's interviewing style. This is ROBERT BLAKE, HIS STORY.
More people should get in face of these CNN reporters as Robert is doing opposed to letting them paint the picture the way they want it to come across. I'm so sick of the fake news and there agendas.
He's right for getting upset. These interviews have agreed conditions, and these questions which have nothing to do with the book, are probably a contravention of the agreement.
I worked entertainment PR -- there is ALWAYS preconditions. Where you can go with your questions, what questions are off base. Piers Morgan? No preconditions? A man like Robert Blake? I don't buy it. Blake may come on like a wildman & crazy but he's actually got a reason to be angry. Piers is calm during the questioning but what he adds is what Blake zeroes in on is Piers' condescending tone of asking the question. Does Piers even know his wife Bonnie was married 10 freaking times, had a criminal record, was involved with many who would've liked to have seen her dead. Christian Brando (Marlon's son) was indeed involved in an unrelated murder and he was involved with Bonnie. No, though I think Blake was rude towards Piers his anger was justified. Blake isn't naive about such entertainment program cross-examinations. They look to create headlines for the next morning.
He got upset over a minor comment Piers said." I'm gonna get to the truth if we can." That's what upset him. It had nothing to do with what was or wasn't in the book...he was worried about being seen as a liar.
Guilty or innocent? I can usually decide for myself but in this case, I am on the fence which is one reason why I am asking. I really want to know everyone’s opinion.
I’m a big Robert Blake fan, but do you see how Blake turned ugly just from Piers saying, he wanted to talk about the incident. Piers never really got into it or asked a specific question. Blake became very defensive and evasive. Blake said, you’re just like the cops! An innocent man would say, I loved my wife and I’m just as puzzled as the police are. I would do anything to find who did this horrific thing. There isn’t a day that goes by, where I break down and cry over my dearly departed wife. Instead, Blake starts rambling and starts insulting the host. Blake really didn’t answer one specific question about what happened to his wife because he can’t answer those questions. Blake lashes out on the host and rips him, but 2 minutes before that, he says how much he loves the host. Any 3rd rate detective could see Blake is being very evasive and is not being truthful with his answers. Blake agreed to do the interview for money because he was broke. So, how naïve could Blake be if he didn’t think the host would eventually ask a few questions about that night? Blake plays the part well of the put-upon poor fellow that was kicked around by society when he never bothered anyone and would just mind his own business. It makes the viewer want to cry for poor Blake. He is an actor and plays that part so well. In the meantime, no matter what you thought of his wife. She may have been a Gold-digger and just out to use Blake for whatever she can get from him. So, get a divorce and move on with your life. Who says you have to kill her?
If he didn't blow her head off he wouldn't get an interview. Nobody would want to talk about his role as "Mickey" (nobody even knows that character). Moreover Barretta is the least syndicated show of the 70s, also a short run of 4 seasons. It didn't even get picked up for online distribution, 0 demand until he killed her. His position is that the murder is too boring? WTH? Robert nothing in your life is more significant than this. My favorite part is when he asked Morgan why he was arrested lol. Keep in mind he shot his wife in the car outside the restaurant over nothing. His position is that he should be appalled at the idea he would be detained. You can almost hear the brass clanging under the desk when he readjusts.
I know the character. Mikey you don't know it because billcosby bought the rights to it and didn't want it ever aired again because of tge way buckwheat was portrayed which is BS. As far as that Robert Blake is concerned well known actor and the legend !!! I can telling young too bed your generation will never know real classics when thet see it !!!!
The gun he owned was not the gun in the shooting .....HE didn't dodge shooting !!!! Go research Bonnie Lee Blakely learn all about her .....I'm not saying the womwn should of been murdered ...I'm saying go check out the type of person she was!!!
He obviously did it. No one is this defensive for no reason. He has no sympathy for the woman that died in his car while he held a gun in his hand. Facts. And he keeps calling back to being a 2-year-old dancing on the street. What a nutjob.
You don’t think you’d be pissed having you whole life ignored and something you didn’t do constantly be thrown in you face. Mr. Blake’s reaction to this pompous twat is totally understandable.
@@olftheterrible8450 Doesn't mean that he is innocent only that the jury felt the prosecution didn't prove their case. He was found guilty in a civil suit. Unlikely that he did the actual shooting but may have hired someone to do it.
That was completely insulting. To say I want to get to the truth, if we can. Robert Blake you were telling the truth. And I agree, you were trusting him in, letting you in. He should deeply respect you. You are so kind, always being called to a position to defend yourself. How Cruel can he be. This interviewer had an agenda. To try and set you off, hoping to see you, become upset. To say you were guilty. Yes, you are sane He is another cruel person. I'm so sorry he is so attacking. I have no appreciation for this interviewer. He is not genuine There to allow you to speak your sweet self. He is there to convict you. Or set you up to convict yourself. He is so wrong. I see your truth. You are a gentle, sweet soul of a hurting man. Who life has hurt continuously and betrayed you, and portrayed you as the problem. You never were. The others, your parents, their injustice to you from the start. All have failed you. Except those who showed you the live you deserve. People have tried to turn the whole world against you. You don't have a nervous breakdown, feel to the depths of despair you do unless you are tender. You are so tender. Not wanting to blame anyone. Not one. But still saying I love God I just want to share myself with you. My life That's all I have to give you. It's a tragic life, and a most beautiful man who lived it. God is your witness. 🕊
Robert Blake signed a contract on what he would and wouldn’t speak about...it was agreed they would not speak about his wife etc.and yet, they continue to break their side of the contract. He should be upset, it was a legal contract they all signed & agreed upon. He should sue them. CNN needed put into their place!
I am not spreading fake news Lol.. for Robert Blake to come onto the show, he would have indeed signed a “contract “ though, as all guests do. I feel sure the contract would have had a clause about what the interview was to be about, the direction of questions, etc.. I also think Blake would have had it added in CNN’s typical contract thar ppl sign when they go on these shows, In that he did not want questions that were about the murder, so Robert Blake would indeed agree to do the show. Blake and CNN has some sort of an agreement to keep the interview strictly, about his book, even if only verbal that is binding to me, a mans word should be biding. CNN had to push the subject, clearly an upsetting subject, if CNN had to “ lie” to get him to DO the interview saying that they wanted to promote his book and completely sidestep that as soon as the interview started..then that’s unethical and wrong! Anyone knows Robert Blake has terrible insecurities, so to lie and then go right into the murder was typical of the media’s BS. They made his book seem like nothing, in fact didn’t even talk much about the book, but the murder they talked about. Maybe he didn’t kill her, Imagine that? Idk if he did or didn’t, but if he didn’t do it, then he was tormented on top of being an already tormented soul. They should have been honest with him...just once..been honest. I’m glad he spoke up about it, more ppl should when they pull their unethical, BS on others. Just think if he did not kill his wife? 🤔
definitely. but it's not just about the attention. people like Blake are ALWAYS acting. it's just who they are. when you learn at a very young age that performing, both protects you from people and draws them closer to you - it's a hard habit to break.
Mr Morgan, while an insult may not have been intended, it's the receiver that determines whether or not an insult has occurred. Your words were insulting and Mr Blake was right to be offended by your suggestion that he may not have been telling the truth. If he says it's so, and unless you can prove otherwise, then you must assume he is telling the truth. You owed him an apology and you were too arrogant to even give that - your guest who came on your show in good faith. Shame on you.
Pierce you’re really wrong … you’re doing self-service here you’re beating up a very weak soul right now and I used to really like you right now. I’m not liking you too much at all.
He marries someone married 10 times before, and let me guess, it was the men's fault. I knew someone like that. Never her fault. It's a shame, the next batch of suckers is warming up on deck as I type.
There are documentaries about that night. I believe he was framed. It goes over all the seedy people in Bonnie Lee's past. And the person got away with it because Blake was the obvious suspect
If you pay someone to kill someone else, when asked if you killed that 'person' and you say 'no' than you are telling the truth. Directly you didn't but indirectly you did.
