As a passionate moviegoer I’d like to thank the stars for Robert De Niro… actors of his caliber are a rare breed. Crazy versatility and dedication. Another era coming to an end.
The confidence with which you keep saying, "Keetle" for "Kai-tell" is pretty astonishing, especially given the apparent careful detail you pay attention to. Harvey Keitel is a respected actor, you should give him that respect.
Indeed, if a person is doing a commentary and is unfamiliar with any words or names, for goodness sakes take a moment to check out how to pronounce it!
I cannot stand De Niro’s politics, but I admire his talent as an actor and think he has an adorable personality. I have seen most of his gangster films and I wouldn’t mind seeing his other ones eventually.
Soooooo annoying, they are using AI for the scripts and VO's, but lack review and verifications before posting, its almost like you can't trust the content they are spitting out....
Please stop saying what "critics" think. Critics are a group of people that really serve no purpose. People need to watch movies based on their interests and not based on random opinions by people who shouldn't affect what they think or feel.
Your constant mispronunciation of names makes it hard to enjoy your work. If you won't make the effort to correct this, then I won't make the effort to watch.
My friend and I were dining in Tribeca 10 yrs Mr Deniro was there with friends we werent aware of his presence the restaurant was quiet small intimate ambience. Obviously he noticed us and paid for our dinner! Once we were told by the server Mr Deniro had left the restaurant. We were so surprised and excited wished we could have at least met him we were told he was very private. We both are African Americans ladies and his affinity for our type is well known. Love his acting and Heat is my favorite
Wow! That had to have been mind blowing to realize all of this right after he left. Had a situation similar except it wasn't a great actor it was an old friend that I had been thinking about I actually saw her pulling away but my feet were stuck I could not move. My cousin lived next door to her babysitter.
All the movies mentioned as failures were some of the best I’ve ever watched! DeNiro is one of the best Actors ever. Absolutely love his Acting Skills and how much he put into his characters. Also love his Politics and his integrity throughout life. 👏👍👏
I do like this channel but Harvey who? Please learn how to pronounce people's names properly. It's very distracting when you pronounce them incorrectly
This Guy couldn't even pronounce Greenwich Village correctly. "Green Which "? Seriously! Has he been living on another planet his short 16 years on earth. Because my guess is he can't be any older if he can't even pronounce that right.
The narrator described DeNiro’s early film career as “disastrous” Why was it “disastrous,” just because he didn’t become famous right away? Also, the many mispronunciations are ridiculous.
They use AI technology for all scripts and VO's, there is no narrator. Cant trust AI, yet... not to mention they lack a good editor to catch these mistakes before posting....@@charonmiles

Love all his movies especially A Bronx Tale. Robert is a great actor, a legend in his own time. Love him, so much talent. So many great movies. Goodfellows oh my. Love everything he's done and I wish him good health and much happiness. Thank you 💛 for posting one of my favorite actors of all time. Peace.
I havent watched his films in five years. His acting method is crap . He just pulls faces and shrugs his shoulders and mumble his lines. He was good in a few films prior to 1985.
23:30: Hey everybody! Did you know that Robert De Niro's first wife, Diahnne Abbott, is the cousin of R&B singer Gregory Abbott, who had a hit song out in 1986 called "Shake You Down"?
When it released in theaters back in the day it wasn't the film you see today. It was a movie that the studio made them chop into bits and pieces because they thought it was too long, but they kept the original version, and they re-released it to have the film you have today!
because they are using AI for scripting and VO's, and not verifying before posting. can't trust AI 100% yet...or the banana heads that are suppose to be reviewing content before putting up videos ...

Robert De Niro's acting is Tops. I really liked "Heat" , that ending is something. I really love your channel, would you ever consider doing a Biographer take on Jeffrey Hunter. Ok Ok, Yes I had a mad chrush on him.
An additional comment about this man when his movies are bad they are really BAD but man oh man when they are good they are legendary. No matter how many times you've seen a good one you will always see it again and again
Thanks for being the first to bringing that up. Haven't finished this yet but I hope it doesn't end with his dtimerzzz, on & on & on about Pres. T. De niro was my fav until anytime he had a platform it was filled with hate. So what does he think about supporters then. I can't imagine. 😅
Big up to the makers of this documentary. The thing that strikes me is that a lot the films that were said to have flopped or not well received are movies that we bought, rented and loved, films we still talk about. What an amazing talent.
His father was a bisexual. De Niro is a joke. He’s a trained monkey for The Jewish filmmakers who have been hanging the albatross of OC around the neck of all the Italiani. Most of us spend our lives trying to disassociate ourselves from these losers. DeNiro is another flunky actor who believes the acting roles he has been playing. A delusional individual IMOA.
I had the pleasure of being given a job to work on the movie a bronx tale i worked with him for 4 months he should be looked at for his artistic talent not his political beliefs I watched him and CHAZZ palminteri work together to make that movie him and CHAZZ are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet both kind respectful and honorable I have proof of what I say I am not just some flake on the internet I lived where they filmed the movie in sheepshead bay brooklyn
The men and women over 50 in my Italian/Irish family talked like DeNiro. We grew up in Williamsburg, half Dublin Irish and half from Naples on mom’s side or East New York, Brooklyn, Sicilian on Dad’s side.
@imundiclan he is of Albanian-Italian origin and not Irish-Italian. The father was Albanian and emigrated to the USA in the 1940s, the mother was of Sicilian origin; who divorced years later because his father liked to drink alcohol,, a lot of alcohol..!! He said about being Albanian in an interview on the Rai 1 channel in Italy.....
In many that the critics didn't like, I for one always enjoyed all of his acting projects. As a method actor I knew he was intense, hard driven, and tenacious. He could be aloof, stay to himself and that's how many of them before him were and are still. For this on actor Mickey Rourke - who did Angel Heart which I regarded as one of Robert's most creepy and direct in your gut performances - to think this man to this day still keeps a grudge against him - is so ridiculous. First of all, not all actors like each other, 2nd you must respect an actor's space and Mickey should have asked questions instead of taking it so personally - to this day that actor is showing his insecurity which has not ever done him good. In an actor's lifetime if you're so lucky to have a long span of acting roles, there are so many movies that will outshine others but the important thing is the roles never outshine the man, actor himself. He is a humanitarian, if funny and has proven his comedic timing, has always had a religious workout program and remained in shape long after many haven't. In my book he's as good as he was in his younger days and I get why he's not on social media. Kudos to him and thank God the judge gave his ruling for his last wife to not get what she demanded of him. My God how ridiculous is that to spend that much money in a month??? He can now relax, work when he wants without the burden of her extravagances. Thanks.
Mickey Rourke was the real deal The most copied actor in Holywood. DeNiro was a jerk. Good actor no doubt, but nobody cares about his Communist leanings. Go to North Korea Robert.
Recently saw Scorsese's "The Irishman." DeNiro, Pacino and Pesci. The story of Jimmy Hoffa and Frank Sheeran. Quite amazing! I totally recommend it. Very sad, though.
It was obviously ment to be to have Leonardo DiCaprio take Robert De Niros place as Martin Scorseses 1# actor in multiple films because it was DeNiro that discovered Leo & told Scorsese about the young kid & he did kill every single movie hes ever done & its crazy both actors havn't won even more Oscars!!!!
I call the section "CALM" As I see it we have enjoyed him to the point of exhaustion, correction not as much as Pacino 😢 hzs so..when he speaks of calm, was I impressed😂! This .an beats Dr Bradshaw hands down! I listen to him every a.m. before I face the world😅 M 1:09:45 .
Not being a fan of gangster movies, I have only seen De Niro in "Stardust". I was amazed that I liked him. I sat all through this Bio thinking surely, I had seen him elsewhere. But no. I think the fault is all mine.
@janberry4516 Kudos for admitting that you didn't know anything about him, yet formed a negative opinion & realized how good he was! We're all guilty of forming bad opinions of ppl, especially celebrities, without watching their work or listening to them talk. Years ago, I didn't like Hillary Clinton and I realized that the only reason for that is that I heard so much negative talk about her. Then I decided to watch her speak, listen to her, read articles about her, and I was ashamed of allowing myself to form an opinion by what I heard. It was then I learned to do my research before I form an opinion of anyone.
I made myself laugh ... I'm gay, and without any prior knowledge. When I heard that RD's father was a sculpter and abstract impressionist, and met his wife, RDs mother in P-Town My immediate thought was "That marriage didn't last, he's gay" .... its P-town FFS It's the Fire Island of Massachusetts A single male artist in P-town .... do the math So when the reason for the dissolution was stated ... I chuckled. It was a perfect mix for an actor like RD
