Robert Earl Keen -- Corpus Christi Bay [REACTION/GIFT REQUEST] 

Robert Earl Keene is the best. One of my favorite songs of all time. Seen him several times. It's like Jimmy Buffett concert...everyone knows the words.

This is my second favorite Keen song. My favorite is Feeling Good Again.

Stationed at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in the 70’s. I know the bay and the sea wall well. Had few “not sober” adventures there myself. This was a great song. Poignant and well written. Thanks for the reaction!!❤

"Corpus Christi Bay" was one of my first introductions to the music of Robert Earl Keen many years ago. Great song, and Corpus Christi Bay is beautiful.....one of my favorite places in the Lone Star State.

REK is a legend TX singer/writer. I put him with Charlie Robison and Ray Wylie Hubbard

For those of us that were listening to this record and his others this is texas Best. I had just started playing guitar in 96 at 41 and my teacher had me learn many of his songs. Merry Christmas to the Famoly is great.

Remember times running with my brother. Mostly played well with others. There were a few ( experiences ) we weren't good for each other in😂😂😂.... alas , I never could stay sober anyway. We weren't really trying though.😮

Love REK. As much as I enjoy Corpus Christi Bay, his favorite song of mine may be Mariano. There's a line in there about his family's hair being black as widow's dreams... That line haunts me. I'm also a big fan of the No.2 Live Dinner version of Gringo Honeymoon.

It almost feels like to me that you missed the point of the song. It’s not meant to be a sad song, but rather a fun drinking song. When you go to his shows, this is one of his more popular songs that the crowd sings along with at the top of their lungs while chugging a brew.

This is a good version but Johnny Rodriguez did an amazing job with this song.

Great song, but Johnny Rodriguez' version is far better, in my opinion.
