Thanks CraftyGtrist for the insight. I imagine the three qualities he was looking for were discipline, the ability to listen and respond to others, and modest confidence.
Anyone at any level of proficiency was accepted, but dependent on how your application was accepted. You had to explain why you wanted to attend. It was your answer that got you accepted or turned down as a student of GC. Intention was the quality looked for.

I would hate the be the guy who hit a bum note or played out of time with the group! By the way, does anyone know if Fripp accepted beginner guitarists in this group, or would they have all had to at least classical or jazz training?
