I was in Jr high school when Emergency was on, and I never missed an episode on Saturday nights. It was my favorite show, and I catch an occasional episode on Cozi TV when I can.
He is still a great actor. And on the 29th of July he will be 90 years old. His memory is fantastic. I hope my memory gets like that when I am his age. Wonderful!❤ love debi
I liked the way Dr. B softened up in Emergency. In the pilot episode he hated the idea of paramedics, and thought firemen were "hose jockeys" and all brawn and no brain, and was in a relationship with Dixie. In the series, he is still no nonsense, but trusts and supports Roy and Johnny and usually takes their side when they make their own decisions.
I absolutely love Robert Fuller!! Laramie is my favorite show. I watch it daily. I would love to meet him and go on a horse ride. A very gentle horse. I'm 60. Lol
I was born in 1951, when Westerns were a staple in movies, radio, and, T.V. I saw the most fantastic serials, and ,movies black and white T.V. had to offer, Bob Fuller was right there, a beloved Actor!!!
I've loved Robert fuller since I was 13 years old. I am the same age as his wife. I adore him. I always will. I wish he were single. I still think he is gorgeous. I wish he still acted. I miss him on the TV screen. Just get to watch him on repeats now. But I just wish he would do another tv show I absolutely love him.
I love Robert Fuller. He's still as handsome as he was in his heyday. I'm still watching reruns of both Laramie and Emergency, as well as Wagon Train. Thank you Mr. Fuller for all the Entertainment you have given us.
I've been watching Laramie shows 5 days a week, morning and evening for the past five years now and I rarely miss an episode.... . In fact I'm watching it right now.. Love it... my favorite Western of all time.. R.I.P. John Smith.. another great actor..
His sexy eyes, his gritty voice, his body, and he rides, ropes and shoots well, he’s so handsome in his Laramie outfit, black gloves, black vest, black hair, black hat, oh man! The westerns are a action story set in the West, where honesty and good morals ment something. And the fact Robert wanted to do only Westerns. In this interview, James Drurry in the Virginian is at Roberts left elbow, he was a handsome guy himself and his voice was great also, another great horseman, in the intro to the Virginian where he rides the horse and has his other hand on his leg, just resting it there so casually, like this was his mode of traveling everyday for real. They set the bar real high for other actors who did/do westerns. How about that Kevin Costner doing a western on TV he’s terrific also and he wants to do Westerns also, he likes them, so do we!! I can’t get Laramie on TV now, I’m looking all over for it. I can’t get Laramie on RU-vid either?😓🙈😢
SO gorgeous, and that voice! Sounds the same, and it is a VERY manly voice indeed. And no one wore a pair of jeans like him! He still looks good and obviously takes good care of himself. I love Gunsmoke, but I try to watch Laramie every time it's on!
Ahhh Emergency. Glad to see Robert Fuller doing so well health wise. I recently started watching Laramie on Grit TV, and I'm not sure if I saw it as a kid or not, but I kept getting an image of Robert Fuller in a lab coat, and I couldn't figure out what medical show I knew him from. Then I saw this video, and got my answer. We definitely watched Emergency every week, along with Adam 12, another Jack Webb series at that time.
This video makes my day, I am watching Robert Fuller right now on Laramie on a network named GRIT TV. This series is fantastic and I never knew it even existed until recently. John Smith and Robert Fuller were such naturals. Both of them were just great actors. I was so sad to hear of the passing of John Smith but it's so good to see Robert Fuller doing so well. They just don't do westerns like Laramie anymore.
Don't Boo Vote I agree with you, I was never into Westerns and I starting watching Bonanza and Laramie...... two of my favorite shows now. I also watch it on Grit as well and throughout the day they play all the old Westerns. long live Hoss and Slim
Frank Cramo Yes sir Frank. I am so impressed with how well the stories are written as well. Really smart writing. If you google the Episode Title, there is a website named imdb.com that gives an episode summary and a list of the full cast including the character name and the actual actor who played the part. I have so much fun watching Laramie because I'm seeing many actors in their youth that I only knew of in their later years. I am so glad I found this show. I don't even mind watching the episodes I've already seen. Good stuff.
The Law of Divine Oneness Laramie was on NBC I watch it with my Mother I started watching Emergency on METV WLWT 5 2 in Cincinnati. Robert Fuller as Kelly Bracket. I was watching the Show. I told my Lady Friend that I use to watch Robert on a western show. METV had Wagon Train the Second Show with John McIntire and Robert Fuller. Then Laramie. Robert play on Walker Texas Ranger.for two episodes. Also Buck Taylor who played Newly on Gunsmoke. Nice memories about Robert Fuller.
He's the kinda guy that makes you think you're into older men now... But it's really just him and only him. There was a old dude like that once at a bar that I met eyes with... Gave me chills. But part of it is I was young enough...knew he'd never do anything about it but makes you feel protected from sleeze bags. It's a rare kind of man these days. Most would act on it. Which in turn makes them ugly.
God Bless you Robert Fuller. Friendly Persuasion was one of my all time favorite movies, & of course Wagon Train, Laramie & Emergency. We watched Emergency with my kids. I am the same age as Randolph, so you all feel like family to me. My Dad was born in Eastland & my Grandson lives in Dallas now, so is a neighbor of yours. Thank you!
I hope Mr.Robert Fuller KNOWS how important, entertaining & LOVED he is for creating Dr.Kelly Bracket...I wish he has even a small clue what that "creation" has meant to people & will meet for future generations
I'm a Brit and when I was a small kid I used to watch Laramie, I just loved it!! I close my eyes now and listen to the opening trailer to this wonderful program and it just take me back to my childhood...........
Laramie is one of the best Western shows I’ve ever seen! I discovered it late only recently on Cable by sheer chance. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is and shocked that I never heard of it before. Fuller was great on that show! A very cool guy! Now I’m a fan for life! I’m pleased he’s still alive as his partner on the show passed away years ago. He was good on the show too but he was a different type. This is great to hear Fuller again! 👏🏻😎
Robert Fuller was also good on Wagon Train. He was Cooper Smith…that was where he went after Laramie ended! Hope you can catch it sometime. I had a crush on him for 30 years! Him and Clu Gulager
@@annhathaway1475 He is one cool looking dude. I can see it from your angle. He should have been a bigger star. Good show and comororadorie . And to think I almost never saw it. It was just by chance that I scrolled by it and caught an episode on the Cable network for Westerns. The other shows Rawhide and Bonanza , I’m familiar with. But this show was never a big hit and didn’t really get advertised that much. And it’s a real gem! I like how he kids around with his buddy and the kid on the show. Good guys all around!
I watch Laramie practically everyday on the Grit Channel. There is no profanity, and all the other dirty stuff you see on TV nowadays. I always know Slim and Jess always win in the end. They also had a little family who would help people, and show compassion towards Neighbors. People did that when I was growing up.
Robert Fuller was one of the men on Laramie and I only remember the two by their stage names. My first crust. Sherman and Jess Harper.... I was 10 then. Still watch Laramie today.
What a guy! I could work for guys like Jess, & Slim because their down right good guys,& hard working with big hearts & one hell of ah Haymarket+shooting skills. God bless yawl...nuff said.
I think also that Emergency! (where he was Dr. Brackett) was his best work, and the only medical drama I've seen in full on DVD (even though it was also an action series, with the firefighting and rescues); I think that Emergency! also had the absolute best hospital setting I've ever seen in television, in the form of Rampart General Hospital (not many fictional hospitals have made the impression on me that Rampart has).
I love the show both emergency 🚨 and Laramie is awesome as well and I and my sons!!! I love older shows and you see most great movies now are remakes of the original and I show my sons the original one first and we usually like the original!!!💯🔨🎼🏈👍🏻🍀💡❤️🙏🎶🎄
I love Robert Fuller in everything I've seen him in !! It's good to see him with James Drury...another one of my favorite Cowboys...and a good friend of Roberts..❤️🥀🌹❤️🥀🌹❤️🥀🌹❤️🥀🌹❤️🥀🌹❤️
Had privilege of meeting these two fine actors in Morristown TN a few years ago. I had met James and some other cast members from the Virginian a year or so earlier in Pigeon Forge TN
Your name on "Wagon Train" was Cooper Smith. In "Laramie" your partner's real name was John Smith; and Daisy Cooper was an actress in that series. Robert, that's clever, Cooper Smith in "Wagon Train" was most likely taken from "Laramie."
Mr Fuller, you were the best character on Laramie. As a kid when it first aired, we lived in an area where we couldn't get NBC. Thanks to Starz Encode Westerns, I am enjoying it at 73 years old. I wish we could meet someday. I have lots of questions to ask about Laramie. God bless you and stay well.
As a child in the early 60s my family stopped at Tweetsie Railroad. Robert Fuller played one of the good guys in the railroad holdup. After the action he walked through the train car and handed my brother and me spent cartridges from the shootout. My brother and I still have the cartridges.
OMG... I was 8 years old when Emergency was aired and had a MAJOR crush on Dr. Kelly Brackett!! He is one of the most handsome men I have ever seen. Loved him on Wagon Train too!!!
Robert Fuller is a great great and very very talented and hard working actor on Laramie & Emergency. Emergency had great great episodes very very real . and all great great cast of actors and actresses and special guests and all of behind the scenes employees on and off camera and jack Webb .
He was absolutely amazing as Dr. Kelly Brackett! He was believable and showed what an excellent actor he truly is! Emergency is the reason I work in the medical field now!
You were soooo realistic and Awesome on Emergency. I wish I could have been one of the patients, as an adult I have medical experience with human and animal medicine hands on, book and being a patient, and you still appear to be a real doctor on Emergency!
I wish Laramie would have lasted longer it was a damn good western. Jess Harper the hothead short fused kick ass guy I loved it. And his interaction with Slim Sherman. Rip John Smith
A great story Robert Fuller told about the advice given to him by film noir legend, Dan Duryea. Wonder what Duryea thought of Fuller's brand new '59 T-Bird lol!
Laramie is my favorite love both Sherman and Jesse. Great actors. Thy dont make good wholesome shows as these. TV has changed so much through the decades.
Dan Duryea, by the way, was actually the opposite kind of person in real life than he was in so many of his bad-guy roles. And, he starred in my favorite Jack Benny episode...Lunch Counter Murder...what a hoot!! Check it out if you ever get the chance!
