Great interview. Like the others have mentioned, it's great to hear Robert do a solo interview. Great guy who doesn't seem to have a bad word to say about anyone in the business. I like those kind of interview rather than listening to bitter people. Great interview James.
I have never heard Mr. Gibson give an interview without Ricky Morton. This is great! Thanks James! Thanks Robert! I am a huge fan of the show! Keep them coming!
I wish that R&R vs Briscoes was occurring. Unfortunately, Jay passed today. Those are two of my favorite teams. I just noticed that many of the wrestlers mentioned are now gone.
Great interview, Robert answered each question the way a fan or interviewer would want a question answered, God bless Robert Gipson Rock & Roll forever
Holly shit I remember this dude from back in the 70’s and did he just say he’s wrestling in 2 weeks wooow. Least he don’t look as bad as ric flair he actually looks pretty good still. I really use to like these dudes as a little kid.
Rock & Roll Express' very own "Bobby G" .... Loved watching you when I was a punk kid! ( circa '86 ) .... you had a very distinctive poster w your arm when you were squaring up on an opponent .... I hated Midnight & Jim back then ( Love Jim Cornette now ). Great memories Sir, Thank you!
Thank you. I've been looking forward to this one. Robert never said much more than, Yeah that's right, back in the NWA days. It's interesting to see what he has to say.
Ricky Gibson was hugely popular and loved in the Tennesse area throughout the 1970s. I believe his career was derailed due to injuries in a car wreck. The Gibson brothers were a good tag team.
The Mulky Brothers.....😂. I'm happy you mentioned them. I remember them beating somebody. I used to tell my younger brother that he looked like one of the Mulky brothers 😅. He would get mad and the fight was on ....sometimes physically. He would tell me I looked like Jimmy Garvin. It took me a minute to remember Ronnie's brothers name. I was a hairy kid and a bit bigger than my brother at the time. 😅 Anyways.....that's funny , I think everyone knew who the Mulkys were back then 😂. I gotta look a video now.😅
I hung out with him with he worked local shows I did ring crew for high school. Spent a whole summers worth of weekends driving him around super nice guy. His brother Ricky was a legendary pervert. He’d have us all lined up for these stories and then he’d have our skin crawling just horrendous tales. He ran a bar in Pensacola and had shows there. Man he was creepy. Supposedly a legend in his day wrestling. It was before my time. Robert was just a super nice guy to anyone that was around. Even punk kids putting up chairs like me.
I grew up watching him, his brother and Ricky Morton in Memphis. Ricky Morton tried to rescue Rick Gibson and got stomped. I watch the R & R before they became the legendary team with Rick Gibson as their mentor. Of course, I used to see Paul Morton referee too.
robert gibson, was like marty jannetty.... was way better then his partner... they could talk... but their skills , carried the team.. long live robert gibson
12:01 they say a lot of things that aren't correct the said Andre was 7'5 7,4 7,2 but he was 6'11 , with the big afro he would of looked 7,4 and they also made him wear boots that were too big for him
Arguing over the WWE hall of fame is idiotic on so many levels. The Bookers decided who won the match, being, a champion is created by the bookers. There is no winners or losers. Duh!
