I just took my daughter to their show in Philly this week. It was her first ever concert. She loved it! I'm raising her on the good stuff, no garbage allowed! lol
+Lorenzo Rizzardi Word. We gotta raise them on the standards. She listens to everything with me from Nina Simone to Radiohead to Lee Williams. She's gonna be ALLLLLL RIGHt!
bro I feel you they came to houston in August and when I tell you I was in the VERY FRONT SMACK DAB in the MIDDLE of...you get the whole experience going through your chest. you get every nuance of the music and it's just magical. I rolled in 20 deep with my friends and family. we couldn't keep still. we were mentally tired after the concert. sheesh. just great musicianship across the board. they aren't just playing songs. they are communicating with each other and the crowd.
I was smack dab' in the front at this Show Center Stage (ATL). First time peep'n the RGE Live - YO! is all I can say! These boys are VOMIT SICK wit IT!
They opened for Herbie Hancock at the H'wood Bowl last night. Increible! Never heard anything like it. Been listening to their stuff all morning. Despite the poor camera work in this particular vid, the music still mesmerizes. Looove!!
+Keith Lambson Folks who don't appreciate Zapp can't enjoy the Vocoder. Roger was genius with it's use. Casey Benjamin is Jimi Hendrix when he uses it. Period.
Chris aint playing with the Robert Glasper Experiment for a long time.. Mark is the new drummer... Chris won't even play @RGE new album Black Radio 2, only Mark!
What would you suggest to capture better audio? I recorded audio directly using a Zoom connected to the sound guy's audio board. Please let me know for future concerts. Thanks!
Mehran Moin I'm sure you were cautious in setting your input level, perhaps overly so. The bandwidth is fine & the mix is great (thanks to FOH), but overall level is exceptionally low. I'd hit the input hotter or at least normalize your audio before posting. The sync is tight though...good job there.
Love Glasper & the awesome Musicians in all his projects... However.. the gratuitous over use of vocoder is getting a tad boring.. Unfortunately it appears to come to every gig with the sax player.. I'll bet he has a back up unit too :(
