For instance Damion Reid is another incredible, fantastic drummer who added his own colors to Glasper's music. He sounds beautiful and may be inspired who came next. Most of all, like Dave and Colemburg, he sounds beautiful into that music, that's all it matters to me
Chris Dave has helped to define Glasper's sound. How else do you expect someone to sit-in and play? It would be pretty hard to play this tune without using a lot of what Chris thought up while still keeping it interesting and maintaining the trademark feel of the tune. He did an awesome job and is a fantastic player.
dude killin on drums! ppl jus b so use to seeing Chris (my fav Drummer) to the fact they cant receive or accept another drummer! no he's no Chris, he's him whatever his name is! what is it? lol
this is sick the drummer has a real nice style hes not daves of course he needs to wrk on his transitions in to diffrent time signatures but he brought his own element into it..i really enjoyed these grooves tho..
His timing or rhythm changes aren't off don't disrespect the man who is chosen by Robert glasper who didn't choose you with the negative comment yes Chris Dave's played this tune but he's got the drumheads and he's busy. Now on my first statement he's leaving room like a hiphop cool jazz drummer given space don't dog this cat he's got chops
@CrownedInfinityEnt NOW THTS FUNNY....but im not sure he look like he feels it like tht true hiphop head nodding..and only some drummers caan even catch tht dilla-esque groove so i agree and disagree at the same time especialy at the begining he was definitley cloning..lol
Really sad to see all kinds of hatin comments on Mark. None of you guys would've done any better than him. And why is he disrespectin? I think it's more respect towards Daddy. You can hear he's diggin Daddy's style. So what? Everybody's strugglin in this quest of finding your own sound. Better show some respect than to easily say: "Like Chris better" or sayin he's a copycat
