Underrated....Robert Gordon with his wonderful voice and range, should have been selling millions of hits. One of the best.

This guy exhibits more talent in this one song than a lot of musicians do in an entire career. And that includes a lot of the ones that I like.

I always thought he had a lot of guts to take on the 50s persona during the 1980s, I guess he proved that good music is timeless. I saw him in Boston at a dive called The Channel. He was great.

I adore this man fir 35 yrs!!!!! Most amazing voice met him and a small venue upstate NY. state with my daughter was about 5 years old at the time he was the nicest man he signed everything held my daughter I got a beautiful picture of us with him holding her. It was on my my bucket list to meet him and I did!!!♡♡♡♥♥♥

I saw Robert Gordon on tour right around this time (early 1979). The gig was in a cafeteria on the campus of UMass-Amherst on a weekend afternoon and was lightly attended. He did this number along with many others and it was great.

I was so naive in 1979. I really (seriously) thought I had come across a single that had been sitting in the record store since the fifties. Mind you, the store was only a couple of years old at the time LOL. But I still love that old 45.

I started out singing as an Elvis sound alike in 1979 and ran across this guy's records at the record shop and bought all his albums. I wanted to be like this cat but with Elvis vocals. I never could get a band to play this kind of stuff for me. I look at him today and wonder what the hell happened that he did not become bigger than the stray cats. My friends don't know who he is today but love his music. Because I play it

Damn what a voice

Easily one of the best rock covers of all time. Robert has the heart,talent and passion to pull it off. I first saw Robert w/Chris Spedding at the Cleveland Agora in the late 70's. I still consider it one of the top 10 greatest rock concerts I've been lucky enought to attend. This includes the Beatles,Hendrix,The Who,Springsteen and Roy Orbison... Gordon should be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame without hesitation or question.......The Minister of Rock and Roll-Luther Heggs

Saw him in concert last night. Irving Plaza, NYC. Free show. His voice is still strong. The man is 72 years old, and he looks like you wouldn’t want to get into a fight with him. Hopefully I’ll get to see him live again.

Hard to believe how good this is. He got rid of the chorus ba-ba-ba-ba...and trumpet solo is perfect. Best version of this song.

i went to see him when fresh fish special came out. small club in north jersey. my friend had an old link wray album that he autographed when we saw him standing at the bar.he invited us back to the dressing room,introduced us to robert.we hung out with them for a while,drinking beer talking music.two of the nicest guys i've ever met in the biz.ran into robert about a year later at the ritz in nyc and it was like meeting up with an old friend.great guy.

I wasworking in a disco in New Zealand/Aotearoa and this came on the clubs video screens. The owner bought it back from the U.S.. and it had just been released. It probably never played on NZ/A TV. It was a dream come true. When you discover you are not alone.
