Dr.Robert Schuller was probably one of the greatest visionaries of his time. I was there for a Music In May Festival in May of 1984. Totally inspiring music, and great sermons on Sundays! Wonderful Christian Ministry!
My dad passed away in 1988 but he enjoyed the Hour of Power immensely because the fear of God made him a tough dad! He raised eight of us to pray without ceasing during his allotted time here! Six boys and two girls grew up in a faith filled home in America! We have to get back to raising our families in the fear of God! Nothing to be gained from ignoring our Creator! I heard this in 1982. This message has been posted on every Wall I've lived. This message stayed with me during the toughest of times. It's 2020 and the message is on my wall. When people tell me about their troubles I tell it to them. After life's many trials I remembered this. Tough times never last tough people do. This truthful saying sustained me. Twenty five years years he was my pastor,changed my life for the positive.From a alcoholic of the worst kind, he helped me on the road of recovery, now 39 years later I have worked hard to be a better man, I try I am not perfect, I try, OH! Many comments about Schuller being a false teacher. Not true. He used to make a big deal about the destructive psychology of guilt and said that coming to Jesus and having faith and asking for forgiveness is like coming home. This is essentially the gospel. In an interview, he said that he didn't have to explicitly call people sinners because down deep they know it already. This is actually very true and if you overtly call someone a sinner they go into defence in their mind. He actually used profound psychology. You know a tree by it's fruit: He inspired people to live good moral lives and brought people out of despair. He was different to the evagelists of today.

He has so many stories, but speaks so little of Jesus. It is sad to see how many are led astray for false teaching, but people like to hear how good they are so it makes sense.

In 1997, Billy Graham gave an interview with Robert Schuller of the Crystal Cathedral, where Graham said you could get saved without Jesus. Here is an excerpt: Robert Schuller: “Tell me, what do you think of the future of Christianity?” Billy Graham: “I think everybody who knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the Body of Christ…God’s purpose is to call out a people for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, Buddhist world, the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus…and I think they are saved, and that they are going to be in heaven with us.” Billy Graham said that it “makes no difference” what church you belong to, none at all. He places no difference between a fundamental Baptist church, the Catholic Church, or the Mormon church. Robert Schuller (overjoyed): “What I hear you saying is that it’s possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life even if they’ve been born into darkness and never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you are saying?” Billy Graham: “Yes it is, because I believe that. I’ve met people in various parts of the world…that have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they’ve believed in their hearts that there was a God.”
Probably Mr. Graham would be surprised to know that demons also believe and tremble (James 2:19), besides, he definitely ignores the Scripture Acts 4:12 and Romans 10:11-15 and many other.

Rainy Hollowell There’s a lot of Christians who are defeated, depressed, and feel like they’re worthless, though saved. That was his focus. Inspiring people. There’s plenty of boring uninspiring preachers you may like better. I will always remember Schuller. He inspired me and millions of others. Try listening to the whole message with an open mind.
Motivational teachings is not the gospel.Robert shuller just missed the point because his messages cannot bring people to a right relationship with God its very sad.
Dr Schuller shows the way. I'm long blessed by his ministry 🙏. Dr Schuller provided hope I still quote and his message to people." Tough times don't last tough people do". People need hope not denomination straight jackets.
Pastor Schuller did not lose his soul! If a man gains the whole world but loses his soul is not profitable! The gates of Hell did not prevail because his life had a plan and a purpose to win souls and who can put a price tag on one soul? Jesus gave His life for all who come to him as an humble child with no hangups! Now isn't that Good News! The Blood of Jesus can supply all our needs and protect us from evil! Be saved and turn from your wicked ways for this life is short and the cost is too great if you miss God's Plan for you!!
