Brilliant for Johnny and Mary alone, best live version I've heard. The man oozes class and only needs to stand still to be cool. RIP Robert, one of a kind.
Greig Niven Very well put. I’ve been a fan since 70s when I was little. Even though very young, I was seriously discovering this and other great music. Definitely left us too soon. Love Robert Palmer.
Saw this on Rockpalast at age 14 and I remember till this day I was sold. One of the most unique artists ever, incorporating so many musical influences in his songs. One of a kind. RIP Robert Palmer ❤💎
Thank you sooooo much for posting this! My uncle is one of the guitarist! He passed 21 years ago and I was too young to ever see him actually performing, so this is a blessing 💞

Fantastic music, pre-Addicted to Love. Loved it all but loved this best. Probably my favourite of all Robert Palmer's concerts on RU-vid. Sounded and looked so good. What a stomping performance throughout. Love this man! xx
WOW! First, thank you. I saw Robert in Edmonton AB at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in 83 preform the same show. Until now it was just a fond but dreamy memory of a half a lifetime passed. Thank you for posting. A day from the past relived in the age of information! :) As an encore he performed "Jealous!" I remember holding the girl but I can't remember her name. ;)
BD Matzek Do you think she remembers yours?! ( : If it was a half of a lifetime ago, we must be the same age. You are blessed to have known about him much less seen him. I came from a podunk town where the rock music station was so bad I switched to jazz. Missed out of him completely. ) :
BD Matzek You really got around! From Edmonton to Kitchener, ON, 3400 km! I seriously looked at buying a house outside of Kamloops, BC in 2003. Now I am looking at locating to really upper NY to be near Montreal, although I have never been there. The heat in NC has gotten unbearable. I may have to trade a few feet of snow for 35C/35% humidity but at least I will be able to leave the house more than a few weeks a year. I looked at Kitchener on gmaps. It looks beautiful. I have heard good things about Hamilton close by. Do you like Montreal or Quebec City or is that a bad question? Might be like asking me online if I like NYC or LA! Remembered any other concerts?
BD Matzek I need to stop looking up musicians that I have always admired. I knew that Greg Lake had died at the end of 2016. I did not know that Keith Emerson had committed suicide in early 2016. It is really depressing, especially as I am in that age group. OK, almost.
BD Matzek I know almost nothing about FB. The only reason I have an account is that I couldn't get onto certain websites without one. (No, not porn! Recipes.( :) I looked for messages and did not see any. Are you sure you got me, the old woman from NC? If you saw a lot of postings only three are mine. All the others are from a friend whose political and social opinions are vastly different from my own! Please don't think that they are my ideas. Deb
BD Matzek There is NO information about me on my FB page. I'm wanted by the CIA and have to keep a low profile. ( : Another good reason to go to CN. I do not know what you can see but if you find the one that has a posting of bright orange salmon, that's the one. Do you use email?

Robert seems coked out of his gourd (especially during Sneakin Sally).....and he is still absolutely amazing. Testament to the man's talent. He is sorely missed. R.I.P.
His erratic movements, the wild look in his eyes....the random noises he makes. I could be wrong but coming from experience, he did some excellent coke before this performance.
Just looked at this performance again in the light of your coke comments Josh. I don't know, maybe you're right but he wouldn't just be affected in this one song, right?
I agree that his affect is a little odd. Even if you're mostly good, coke happens, lol. Have you seen the interview where his sniffing incessantly? Allergies? Haha and what is that drummer on? Everything?
What a great show. I him twice in Providence R.i. I believe one was this tour; they songs sound correct. The other was a few earlier So very sad he passed away. I had no idea he actively performed from 1964-2003 the year he passed. Very impressive, I have to add that he was ultra handsome ;) ❣️🎶❣️
Thank you so much for this, its a real treat to see him I really love his performance here on the Tube TV show, hes really on top form, I love his Antony Price suit, its a good look for him. :)
What was Mr. Palmer like? I love his performance persona. How much of it was him and how much for the public? My image of him is greatly influenced by it. In interviews with the media, he was very different. It is obvious he had a purpose for the interview and he controlled it. He didn't let an interviewer ruffle him. He was direct, to the point and always polite. People who spent time with him said he had a great sense of humor, was personable, really serious about the music and focused. I missed out when he was alive so I am having to learn vicariously!
those times were different than now; mostly because of a culture in the music biz that I woke highlight here...suffice it to say - it's probably NOT how you imagine it but far more lurid. we had fun though...thanks.
Im looking a live performing were they are playing reggae songs, Pressure Drop and Love Can Run Faster, this last one in the original version. Someone delete this from youtube :(. Tell me if some one of you see it in somewhere here. Such a live show, the band, he, the songs, everything unique!
anyone remembers the name of the drummer with the headband? i'd like to know beause i saw him live back then and i was completely mesmerized by his drive.
Why does Robert say 'Thanks for your patience' at the end? Maybe he was not happy with some of this concert (mike issues at the beginning?) I thought he was perfect, as he always was.
...I agree (as usual) but hey, I'm not very critical! I'm happy to listen and watch my favorite guy. I was at an 80's party for New Years and they blasted Robert Palmer most of the night... STILL rockin it in 2016 !
I saw this live on TV back then, i was 15/16. I was the Time of the long Rock-Festival-Nights on German TV and i remember that this was the Last Slot and Palmer came up really Late. I think thats the reason for him saying that.
I have this- I recorded it on vhs back in 83- it was on a programme called "mid summer nights tube" a spin off of the weekly programme that they did - as far as I'm aware this is the only way of possessing this
Ah, ok. I used to have it on betamax, recorded off tv. Seen it on youtube before, but in individual songs only. Nice to have it all-in-one. Thanks very much :)
Coke much? 7:20 onwards he’s coming up. His whole face has gone numb. Nose, mouth, eyes too by the looks of it. Big breaths... He’s about ready to take off into orbit. Watching that I didn’t think he was going to make it through the song. Nearly overdone it there Mr Palmer... Good show old boy.
