I hope you have some underground DJ sets from DMC Italy and DMC Germany from 1990 to 1995, Mr. Shum. I wonder, just how fast those DJ's from those two countries really were back then? And I'm not just talking about the champions, either.😁
You know what I never understood. In a 6 minute routine that's presumably been practiced for weeks and months, why can't people keep their beats matched for more than a couple of seconds without it drifting off into a trainwreck? Surely you know (I would know), oh this next one runs at +2 on the pitch control from the last. Probably sound like a hater but I never could get my head around that. That and transitions where someone will just throw the next track in with no regard to counting bars like "cool i'll just hammer this one in on the 7" lol. Anyway, thanks for another upload, Michael.
i know what you mean, but oftentimes these battles were on the club turntables and those things were battered to death and the pitch settings never recalibrated
@@MichaelShum I got a plane from England to take part in the Northern Ireland DMC heat, and the turntables were moving slower than usual, meaning I wasn't even able to finish my set, which I'd planned to go for the full 6 minutes. By the way, Michael, I'm the guy who used to post regular comments under the name j-boogie brown. I've only just started leaving comments again, after over 2 years. Why have you slowed down with the clips? Have you started running out of them?
