I saw them in Atlanta Georgia in 1968 in my high school days. It was possibly the most intense experience of my young life!!! Electric Kool aid was passed through a crowd of maybe 150,000 or more people. The ground actually shook when they hit the first notes. The sound appeared to be coming not from the stage , but from the sky as if it had landed on our ears from space. I will always remember Robert Plant shirtless and suntanned body on stage crouching down waving his free hand at the crowd shouting out " Are You With Me Man?" Then throwing the microphone 20 feet into the air and upon catching it the band hit the note that seemed to rock the earth beneath us!!!! Scott 72 years old on this 9-30-2023
Sounds like an incredible show! Glad u got to witness history. It’s kinda strange when u look at footage of crowds at their performance in the early daze (1968) folks weren’t screaming and cheering. They looked like they weren’t sure how to respond. Of course that soon changed.

I just realized u were describing an acid trip so yes of course the ground shook, etc. However, despite conservative society and social mores people still went crazy at Beatles concerts. They lost their shit!! back in 1964-66. I was comparing audience reactions to that phenomenon and to the way Zeppelin fans reacted a year later. And fans also we’re losing their shit. Which was a couple of years before hippy fest, Woodstock.
Robert and Jimmy would be easy to work with as they respect their fellow musicians and after all this isn't Led Zeppelin. They were 15+ years older and wiser by this time.
Masters, I was only 23 at The Fillmore East on May 31, 1969, the show was all LedZeppelin II. Plant was around 20 I think, and Page maybe my age. A momento and memory for the ages. I’m 76 now. No one could ever imitate Page or Plant. They are their own entities. Michael Lee was awesome. We can't have Bonzo back. No one can replace JPJ. And there will never be another Led Zeppelin. So take this with grace and be grateful.
They’re definitely 1B to the Beatles’ 1A in terms of impact of British rock n rollers in the US. As much as I love the Stones they never had the impact Led Zeppelin & the Beatles had.
Just be grateful that Britain is a small island, too small for comfort, given the population, and the weather is often miserable... which means that the bubbles have to burst into incredible talent, and the whole world gets splashed 😂. Don't forget Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Cream, etc etc etc, and the next generation, The Cure, Radiohead etc. I've always been immensely proud of being a Brit, musically speaking.🎉

Oh my goodness Stevens same with me and my husband christopher. We met in 7th grade I was 12 years old. He was13 . we got married in our mid-twenties and thank you was our wedding song too. he passed in an accident in at the age of 55 about 4 and 1/2 years ago and it still doesn't get easier❤❤ from my heart to yours may they rest in peace❤ I can finally listened to it most of the time without crying

Hey there distant Brother, greetings from Melbourne Florida!!! I'll be 62 yrs old in February. I've been a huge Zep fan even when I was a little kid, and got to see the original lineup back in the 70's. I think I was only 13 at the time, but I had a lot of friends who were quite older than me, with some already in their 20's. This is how I got to go to that concert. Then in 1995, we got to see this very show, Page & Plant doing this Un-Ledded tour, in Orlando Florida. I can honestly say, both Plant and Page were far better and on top of their game compared to the show in this video. They were SO damned good that night in Orlando, as the entire crowd was walking out of the auditorium after the show, all you could hear from EVERYONE ( including me and my bandmate ) was: "That was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced in my entire life".......or something very similar. They were so damned good, we had over an hour's drive back home and every time we tried to play the radio or a CD in the car, after only 60 seconds or so, we would just look at each other, smile, and turn that shit off...........because NO music could even come close to what we witnessed, heard, and felt that amazing night in Orlando Florida. Plant's vocals were VERY strong, and Page was playing better than ever.......he even had the best tones of any guitar any of us had ever heard from anyone, barr none. I will never forget that night. Had not seen this before, but I know this was 20 years after they were peaking and ruling the rock world. I was 15 in 1975 and they were everything. They mesmerized audiences the same way they captivated them 20 years later.
Let's just take a moment to remember what a superb drummer Michael Lee was - struck it very lucky there - This is such a great magickal gig - I never tire of it - :)
I agree. The drummer adds new life to a hell of a back catalogue. The orchestral arrangements are well suited to this incarnation. What a concert and very professional plant and page make for a superb collaboration.
I suppose every old stoner will say this but Zepplin was one of the best bands that was ever put together. I can sit here at 63 yrs of age and recall the first time I heard ramble on and it was without a doubt life changing for me. I soon got a hold of an 8 track tape that had a few rough spots making the music run screwy but I could still enjoy the band. They were as you say "epic" during their time.
Thanks for reminding me how fortunate I feel to be a boomer, all shame and whines aside. 66 here, and I'm surprised I can remember anything, but I can remember smoking a doob, then stretching out under a black light on my waterbed and listening to Houses of the Holy. If I had a dollar for every time I made love to Zeppelin...hmmm...well, let me think...I'd have more than a dollar.

Mike Millard who taped some of the best sounding Led Zeppelin shows between 1975 & 1977 sadly passed away in 1994. if he were alive when this show happened, I know for a fact he would’ve been there in full gear taping this show. Rest in Peace to the greatest concert taper of all time, The legend Mike Millard.
What a concert, i thought celebration day was awesome man this is right up there if not better ,Michael Lee is just pounding on the drums like they owe him money, what a drummer he was RIP. WHAT a treat this was to see. Plant and Page ,there is no substitute !!

Robert and Jimmy are so comfortable with each other that it shows in this concert ❤ I love watching them because it's great just to see a band performing without makeup, pyrotechnics going on, it's just really a great band!! Miss them..love Robert and Jimmy

I was there too. Saw the Stones at the Rose Bowl the year b4 (Awesome Show). And just a funny side note, The Red Hot Chili Peppers opened for them, and no one seemed to care. 94' was the 1st tour for the stones since 89' with G&R, and I think they felt they had something to prove because they seriously kicked ass. The 94' tour was the last with Bill Wyman.

It's crazy because I was going to 40-50 concerts a year back then. I was a 24 year old drummer and I wanted to see everybody and of course we were smoking and drinking during the show but I remember two songs that I will never forget Ramble On and In the Evening. I was mesmerized

Seen Zep a few times in their prime. This is by far the best set list of all! The only thing missing was the squeak from the late great Bonzo's kick pedal on "Since I've been loving you!"

I was not in Cali. during this tour but saw this show in Denver twice because tix were in such demand. I was thrilled to see 1/2 of Led Zeppelin. With RPs backing band and Porl Thompson (guitar), and others...was a great show.
Thanks for this. I was here. I remember I paid for the gas and a bunch of us got let in. They let youths who carried equipment in for free. Totally lovely memory. Later when I was 18 I got to meet Plant on his birthday. I gave him a poem in a card I drew, and he likes it genuinely and invited me anytime to visit his property! I still gotta go there, it's on my list. A genuinely good mood person who values other's. When I met Page in New Orleans, at Tippitinas, he was very quiet and preoccupied. I write and he was practicing. It was a soft evening. I think I snuk drawing his hair in the dusk. Anyway, I wish and hope for more memories! Lovely 🌹
First, respect to Michael’s entire body of work and we lost him far too soon. What I personally liked and admired most about his work with Robert and Jimmy was the fact that he never tried to sound like John. He was true to Michael Lee and certainly paid homage to some of the more memorable licks that John played and made famous, but always stayed close to his own sound and style. I think that was the ultimate tribute to John honestly. “I can’t be John Bonham, so I’m gonna be Michael Lee playing the hell outta those parts” is very self aware in my opinion. Can you imaging how incredible this gig felt?

Maybe it was just inadequate crowd miking, but I thought the Egyptian ensemble did an incredible job and got a lukewarm applause. Undoubtedly the best Zeppelin show I have ever seen. Including those with Bonham.
Yeah, I had seen them 3 times in the 70's and all 3 times, they were a little sloppy and slow. I think sobriety has a lot to do with it. I still love them!
When I saw this show in Indy, I’d taken my little brother to his first concert. We had some lass enthusiastic people in our section off the floor. But I showed him proper appreciation of historic artists getting off. Jimmy page was on our side of the stage too. And yes, my little bro and I finally succeeded in getting his attention- he freaking paused and pointed at we two, who’d been screaming his name and rocking the fuck out…. He paused and pointed to us, the entire section drew in their breath… and we shit our pants. Right before we congratulated each other and pointed at the lame fuckers around us sitting down…!!!! I’ll never forget that.

I’m a huge Zep fan. Saw Page/Plant with the orchestra, and unfortunately missed this tour. Oddly, the most talented guy on this stage at this point is Michael Lee the drummer. Sadly, he passed away. RIP.

Saw Page & Plant when they were in Santa Clara. What a great and magical show with the amazing orchestra! Our local radio station recorded it and I still have it on cassette tape 😂. Also was at a Zep concert in the 70's at a "Day On The Green". Long live LED ZEPPELIN!!
They came to Knoxville in the mid 90's and I didn't go thinking that it wouldn't be the same without John Paul and Bonzo. Boy was that a mistake that I can't do over.
I was oh so fortunate to be there with my brother, and will never forget that night. I never saw the original line up, but the hammer of the gods filled the Meadows that night!
