Renan looks really promising for his age. He seems to be very confident under the pressure, also both his technique and agility are decent for a defender. Pretty sure that he is quick enough to even play as a left wing back/defender. Or maybe even as a defensive midfielder if required. Only thing i wonder is how good he is as a defender? I mean how good his tackling and positioning, and how good he "reads" the game... I saw in this vid some good examples of his tackling and positioning, but still not sure how reliable he is. A very interesting defender with fun runs in the style of Lucio. Although from the point of view of quality in defense, Jair Paula seems more interesting to me.
