@@xpeter1000 honestly he was always the big goofy emotional giant to me but in season 1 he was trying to be that AND the goody 2 shoes leader which messed it up
Rob is so amazing! All the cast is amazing too! The art direction, the script, the humor, are impeccable! I really love it! Well done Netflix and we want a 3rd one!!
Rob is a chameleon; he can become any colourful character. And for a heterosexual guy to be so comfortable with his own campness, it's a wonderful thing to purvey.
No spoiler here; It was definitely a tribute to the set creators in 1960's theme! Really, very accurate from my perspective. I grew up in the 60's ... and a moment when I saw the old fashioned c9 christmas bulbs hanging in the window of the hair salon, it reminded me of the way my Grandmother hung the same when I was a young child. Real tribute to memory lane. I'm aware those same types of christmas bulbs now come in LED... but the old ones were a treat to see. I often look real close on these types of "retro-settings" to see if I can pick up set errors! I even, looked up some of the dialog used ... only thing I found that may not have been accurate is reference to "Photo-mat." It was not in use till 1965 and only in San Diego area of California at first. Otherwise visuals I could not find any fault for time setting in this production. They did a fantastic job!
I've been getting a whole bunch of umbrella academy interviews and interviews of Robert in my RU-vid feed, and all of them were about a week-2 weeks old....they must be having about 5 interviews a day...how do they have the patience for that ?😭
The street they took over in Hamilton was right by my work and doctor's office so I got stuck in traffic a few times because they were filming near there. It was great, I was so excited it was them I couldn't have cared.
Ah crap, I missed Robert onstage. Damit. Ken and I used to belong to the same Improv Theatre. I'm gonna have to ask Ken when this was. PS. Ken Hall is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I'm so glad he got such a great role in the second season. He kills it as Herb.
@@sanya5538 Honestly very few improv shows are taped. It's more of a stage art. However here is a link to a video where Ken Hall talk about how improv changed his life. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QgRYBsRDbjE.html
@@sanya5538 Ken also stared in a PG comedy horror short film, directed by a very good friend of mine called Santa's Helper. You can see it on Vimeo: vimeo.com/271159049
Finished Season Two already. There are a few questions that I got to ask tho so if u've read the comics please could you answer? For those who haven't finished, spoiler warning: Are the sparrow academy a TV creation or from the comics and WTF Reginald is an alien!
OK so...i watch s2 in a day and now i have to wait 1 year for a possible s3...Great.. 😅 i loved it honestly, I love the fact that they showed more of Ben that character is so sweet and im so curios about him, the scene with him and Vanya broke my heart and I think I would hate it if thats it for Ben 🥺
I believe it's the fact that the longer he hangs out with other British people (or Irish ones in this case), his accent gets stronger, or re-activated in some capacity. It's a common phenomenon in linguistics, especially regarding people's accents 😉
THE ON-SCREEN CHEMISTRY THO - these actors are the best, they elevate the show so much! Check out my review of season 2 on my channel, I'd love to hear you guys' thoughts on it! :)
