I love this video because Robert feels no obligation to do his eye rolling, tongue out stumbling front man persona. For a few minutes he’s just a guy in a guitar shop who wants to admire and talk about guitars without the need to be who people want him to be.

Robert smith has been a big influence in my life. being 51 and a musician (pro) I don't have the time to listen to music like I did when growing up...Robert smith is by far one of the most underrated guitar player of his timeonly now is he getting the credit he deserves...if you want pure Cure you have to listen to Disintegration (my fav) deep as it goes with intense guitars and smith suffing at a all time high...the great thing with the Cure you can hear the growth from the very beginning. all the way up untill now. IM waiting to hear what's next for the great Cure...tickets not yet on sale neither any new material who is this meat head that gets tomeet robert and get a guitar that he probably cant play.and Ihe had the nerve to call Robert BOB!! kill me now! I wiilgl oo the show with a fake press pass and do what I have to...once again thanx for the post watched 50 times

Encountered Mr Smith in the early 90s when he was shopping for an acoustic (Hanks in Denmark St.) He seemed to want some space so I simply walked last nodded to him and said thanks, he simply smiled and seemed to appreciate being given the personal space.
