I honestly love that Robert got the OG intro with the “please take to the floor” bit. And although the Lottery guy did sound a bit aloof and mocking when he said it, he can’t forget that that’s where Strictly started, and we all got a genuine twinge of glorious nostalgia from it.

Oh I love these two ! So much fun and entertainment. That’s exactly what Strictly is all about ! Such a hardworking couple but so much entertainment! Also so much fun together ! Just love Dis choreography ! It always suits her partner so we’ll and bring the best out in them ! I can see these two being the journey ones and can see that robs personality should shine right through in the jive, Charleston, quickstep etc. Basically any bubbly dance. Strictly ballroom is one of my favourite movies, and I saw the musical when it was in Melbourne years ago so needless to say I LOVE THIS. Great choreography Dianne.

Legend! Always think it’s good when someone’s performance and mannerisms are so engaging you forget the professional partner

Hold up everybody! Haven't any of you noticed? We have Strictly history made right now! I don't think there's ever been a moment in Strictly history where the dance introduction has ever been changed up. It's always "Dancing the [dance style], [celeb name] and [pro name]" But here, they actually changed it. How and why?! They didn't need to. This is so cool, I don't think it's ever happened before. What a nice touch!

By far the Most entertaining dance of the night! Fantastic choreography and I think,Robert will only go on and get better. My favourite partnership

Oh yay. I stand corrected. I didn't expect much from Robert. And my parents thought he'd be terrible. Nope! That shut us up! He is good! He is actually pretty good! The two jokesters these two are, they of course had to make it fun and jokey, but he had the dancing to back it up. There is some improvement to be had, and though they aren't my favourite couple, Dianne is my favourite pro, and he has proved his potential, so I'll keep an eye out.

So we all know Katya choreographs amazingly for the older guys to put on an entertaining show but can we TALK about what a good job Dianne did?! Honestly, she’d be great with another comedy character partner, what a choreographer

he is so animated! and quite nimble too, love it

This felt like a mash up of choreo from his Comic Relief dance and Peep Show, like a crazy dream 😂 fun to watch but I'm glad he got a chance to show his serious side in the tango!

1:18 This cracks me up every time. Such a shame he had to leave. Some contestants are so bad that they're doing the comedic dance every week, but he showed promise to combine humour with actually being a decent dancer.

The hottest mess ever! Love the campness and comedy. Superfun :)

It was extremely entertaining, but it had a great amount of actual Cha Cha content! Some steps were executed very well (like the "cuban-break" and the "new-york") but, unfortunately, Robert had plenty of mistakes as well. He didn't straight his legs in most of his steps (where he should have done that) and it prevented him from creating the needed hip action and accent the beat properly with his body. In addition, he lost balance during one of his spins and he really needs to work on his arms. To sum up, it wasn't that bad, some part were actually impressive, but it could have been technically stronger. My score: a 5.

Craig was right, this is a great crowd pleaser. I thought some of the judges comments were a bit off though. This was quite a fast dance and I saw some straight legs, and attempts at, and this was his first dance! I've seen worse cha chas than this further into the competition in the past. I thought Shirley's critique was hard for a first week ( and why thank him for the costume that he had no say over?!).

Finally Jeremy got the big breakthrough now to see Mark and super hans join next year

Score: 5 I was not expecting that whatsoever lol. It was sooo freaking good! Granted I did look at Di, more than I did Robert, but I don’t even care. I thought it was fabulous.

He's ok, I think he will be the Chris Ramsey of this series and get quite far based on his popularity and like-ability/entertainment factor but maybe not so much the dancing

Robert will bring the fun into strictly this year and if he remains i hope they get the opportunity to dance to "what a feeling" from flashdance which he performed hilariously in "Lets Dance" for comic relief.
