Rob Whittaker has a crazy story to tell about Prime Video's new Road House movie, available to watch now on Prime Video. Check it out! #PrimeVideoCreator #Ad #RoadHouseMovie
Question for Rob, if GSP never vacated his MW title and defended against you, what would your game plan have been to beat him? We missed out on such an incredible fight 😢
Rob and Johnny have (in my opinion) the most common sense take on MMA bar NONE out of all the major MMA podcasts! PS guys are you waiting for Space Marine 2? Warhammer's ALWAYS good fun.
Great episode! Congrats on the sponsorship guys, what a great way to celebrate the anniversary! You guys have sold me dragons dogma soon as I've completed elden ring I'm on that, hearing you guys talk about it brings back memories of the skyrim days. Looking forward to the next episode, take care.
Love seeing Rob this excited about a game. I swear we all had this feeling as a kid with some game that started our hobby/addiction 😆. Then end up chasing fewer and fewer games that get us that excited as we grow older. Happy you found one Rob! I might wait till I get a good PC to play this one.
I could see why Aldo is coming back. In hindsight, he's probably done the best against Merab in Merab's final form. Had he a different set of judges, he would have won that fight (some may argue by robbery, but either way). By how well he looked in his last few fights in a row, he's one of the only old guys that still had it. Even if he retires, this is a great fight. Martinez might have the best calf kicks in MMA. Aldo has top tier leg checking ability.
Just saw the announcement from Dana and omg. It ain't gonna be easy but Rob is gonna show him there are levels 🤯defend that takedown and grind him down 🤜
Excited to listen to the episode tomorrow, gonna offer a good study break. Cheers boys appreciate you. Also is that new intro music? I don’t recognize it.
@@MMArcadePodcast Nice, it caught me a little off guard at first. Not sure if I like this or the old tune better both are good however I think I like the old one a little more but the new one is growing on me. That old intro is so unique and iconic and it really fit this MMA meets video games podcast. So I think it still edges it out for me. But hey no harm in switching things up any trying something new so I’m all for it as the podcast grows. By any means congrats on one year and the first sponsor guys, can’t wait to see y’all get that play button.
Congrats on the sponsorship boys! Gotta get that Crunchyroll deal next! Also, I love that Rob won't talk shit to his UFC opponents, but he'll talk shit to people who didn't get early access to DD2 😂
When Tai had the overhook why did he reach with other hand and start smacking him with his front knuckles 😂? Shit like that is evidence this guy hasn’t been wrestling, imagine volk pulled that out in the first exchange he had with machachev
Well Rob after hearing you rant about Dragons Dogma 2 for the last little bit I finally checked it out, and honestly it looks hella fun might have to give it a try.
I hated aldo coming back at first... but if he wins it will be awesome to see him leave on a win not getting held against the cage getting his foot stomped on for 3 rounds
I love that Robert is more of a video game fan than an MMA fan, there's not that much to MMA, you watch PPVs once a month, then Weasle and MMA Che, or Luke Thomas episode and that's it, and maybe three fights from regular cards, probably more if its stacked
2 questions. 1. Is this fight going to be financially viable for Rob. 2. Has Rob considered boxing training cos I noticed more than ever that Robs striking is very in and out from straight on with very little angles cut making it easier for his opponents to hit him with counters.
Honestly when it comes to the MW division and what’s next for DDP it’s kinda complicated. I’d love to see a rematch between Sean and DDP cause that fight was incredibly close, but then again it is an immediate rematch with no defences. However this would be my first pick. Other than that I’d want to see DDP wait out till there is a clear contender or maybe fight Cannonier in the meanwhile. Izzy is 1-2 in his last 3 so he should have to fight somebody else, maybe Khamzat for the fun of it, maybe Rob again seeing as I still think Rob beat Izzy the second time and I’d love to see him officially get a win over Izzy. I would also love to see Rob Vs Sean for a title shot, that seems fair as well. Overall I think I’d do: - DDP Vs Cannonier - Izzy Vs Khamzat (not a #1 contender match though, either one needs one more win to get there) - Rob Vs Sean (#1 contender match)
Can't wait on the New Kingdom Come Deliverance, although it's not as well known it was a great game for what it was I would really like to see a updated upgraded version of it
As far as consoles vs PC's for gaming, actually if you know what you are looking for in components, you can build a PC for only 1500 dollars that has the same gaming power as a PS5. However obviously 1500 is still nearly double the price of the PS5. The reason PC gaming exists is because you can go higher, and get hardware far beyond any console, enabling max settings and even mods that are too intense for a console to run, a lot of it is about bragging rights also. So if you are doing only gaming, then a console is better in a bang for buck sense obviously. Rob is correct that consoles used to be far cheaper compared to computers, I remember when I was a kid my parents got the PS2, it came with even a game already I think, it might have been a few months after the release, maybe it was almost 400 dollars, and me and my brother convinced them to buy it since it can play DVD's as well, lol, sounds similar to Rob's story as a kid maybe, I think many Australian kids had a similar story around that. Now it's true the PS5 costs around 800, so around double. But remember, if we adjust for inflation, then the PS2 back then was equivalent to around 750 dollars in fact in today's dollars. That means that actually Sony haven't really increased their prices over time, only inflation has increased. The PC is the obvious option if you work in software, meaning CPU related stuff, or you enjoy the GUI and using your keyboard and it generally is just more productive if you are working. For browsing the net, for modifying settings and running any software, for really being able to do almost anything (unrelated to gaming) a PC is invaluable obviously. I will say there is one thing that can offset the price difference though. Hmm, but I won't go too much into it specifically, most most PC nerds probably know what I am talking about, I am sure Rob knows what I am talking about. You buy a PS5, then you buy say 10 games let's say, let's say an average cost of 80 dollars per game. Now the total cost of your console with those games is around 1600 dollars. And with PC, well, I just won't go too much into it, but essentially you guys know what I am talking about.
$800 and whatever theyre going to have to pay for online gaming over the length of time theyre going to have it. I agree with Rob that its better to just get a PC. I just upgraded my PC to a 4070 and R7 5700x and i wont need to upgrade for another 6-7 years.
This one is for Rob The Giant Slayer, would he ever consider a cameo in a movie or show? Such as gsp in captain america? Also for Jonny or maybe both but do you also have any tattoos or new ink planned? Cheers on one year already lads!
Question because you’re both married with kids, and I am married without kids and love gaming. You’ve sold me Dragons Dogma…. But not sure how to negotiate enough game time to sink into a RPG! Any tips?
Dricus should 100% get to fight Izzy. Or whoever wins the next contender match. He beat Strickland. What’s all this favorites talk? Only exception would be if Strickland had a long run but he didn’t. Time for him to step back in line like a good lad.
Aldo is coming back to retire in Brazil, because Merab robbed him and us, of a great last fight. After defending the 30th ineffective takedown you could literally see him being like "this guy..."
I think you guys may have talked me into playing dragon's dogma too. Can anyone tell me, does the story make sense without playing number 1? Cheers boys.
Question for both. Have you guy's picked up Final Fantasy 7 rebirth or do you's plan to? Also did you guy's ever finish Final Fantasy 16 and what are your final thoughts on it? (No pun intended)
I think that izzy is scared of getting knocked out since the alex and sean fights so whoever he fights next if he loses we are gona see izzy fall down the ranks or just quit
Tai literally had bags of Taco Bell in the locker room. You could see them in the back when they showed him training before his fight. Dude definitely didnt try in my opinion. Came in at 265.5. Dude can barely make heavyweight lmao
Rob, My boyfriend ordered (order #8745) me one of your sweatshirts and it came in a large instead of a medium. He’s not getting any response to his emails. Can someone look into it?
I think DDP should fight Izzy, it is the better fight and the more hype fight. Izzy also deserves his shot back at the title after having such a great run at Middleweight. Losing a decision like he did I think he deserves another crack at it. It is the more entertaining fight potentially for everyone and a money fight for the UFC. Congrats on 1 year!!!!! LETS GO!
Is that mark on robs face from his last fight? It's crazy to see that Chitos face looks almost normal and people would say he arguably took more punishment. Interesting things about the human body
