Roberta's Hardy Windmill Palm Tree with Fertilizer on QVC 

Misleading... I understand he's trying to pitch the sale, but this is NOT the most winter hardy palm tree in the world... the Needle Palm is (Rhapidophyllum hystrix), which is a "trunkless" palm (it's actually a subterranian trunk). These are Trachycarpus fortunei and it's NOT tropical (there are no tropics at high altitudes, where this originates). It actually suffers in the tropical heat. It IS the hardiest of the trunked palms. Now, to survive -15 degrees, they need to specify that it's CELSIUS... it won't survive that in Fahrenheit, and even at -15C it can perish if it's not well established and protected. Even in USDA zones 8 you can lose it if you don't protect some winters (that's 10°F min. low).

It will be a while before it grows into 15 gallon pot size. Very slow growers.

They certainly grow taller than 15 feet unless they are barely surviving winter temperatures.
