Sublime. Mr Alagna, you have made Le Cid one of my favourite operas. I can't even begin to express what the opportunity to listen to this video and many other recordings of your singing does to my everyday life. It is one of the best antidotes I know to the dangers of stress and burnout. Thank you.

Certains chanteurs collent à un role par leur présence vocale et scénique, pour moi ce fut le cas pour Werther avec Kaufmann et pour le Cid avec Alagna , je ne peux imaginer un autre chanteur dans cette aria.

nicole reding-hourcade , I agree but NOT about the Werher of Kaufmann : horrible French pronouncing and many other problems . Furthermore you forget the WERTHER of KRAUS, VILLAZON, ALAGNA and many others !!
