In 1997 he shooted a free kick against France. One of his most famous When studying the kick, it was discovered that the curved trajectory of a spinning ball, known as the Magnus effect, was raised by Roberto Carlos to a spiral trajectory because of the speed (130 km/h), which almost canceled the influence of gravity, and the distance was (35 m). it's was just a regular shot of Roberto Carlos
His nickname throughout his career was called “El hombre bala” which means the Bullet man. He was called that because some of his shots were clocked in at over 105 mph. He’s only 5 foot 6 and his thigh diameter is 24 inches
I was watching the game against France and when he shot that curved ball from almost the half field my jaw dropped. Barthez just stood frozen and watched 🤣
React to Rogério Ceni, a goal keeper that can make free kicks and I think that he is the only that have 100 goals or something like that. Im not a suporter from his old team but is clearly good at what he does
Hello guys! Best regards from Brazil!! Your react channel is one of the best in my opinion. This reaction was a year ago but, I noticed that 'dude' in the right (George ) as good soccer fan deserves to know some 'nicknames' of certain moves in portuguese (Brazilian portuguese); for exemple: this curve movement after a shot is called "colocar EFEITO na bola" (sort of... put 'effect' in the ball ). Free Kickers are very good in it! You saw a lot of them doing 'effect' (curve) in the ball. It's not just for free kicks, but passing, slow shots, powerful shots etc. Most of these guys- R Carlos included - at most free kicks if you watch very closely to his foot you 'll notice that he hits the ball with an insane power BUT the he touches the ball with the last 3 fingers and hit the most right or left on the ball ("side" in circle is strange but ... I think you got it!) . More precise the touch with three fingers on the side chosed more "curve" (EFFECT) the ball goes. It´s also possible to put effects on the ball using the inside part of the foot (you saw Rogério Ceni, Juninho etc) or even (the superior part of it - we called the superior part to shot of "peito do pé ["foot's chest"]. But this is for another comment hahaah. The touch on the ball like I've explained above with the 'outside' part of the foot , is called (TRIVELA.... TRI .... because of 3 fingers).
In the past, Many brazilians like Roberto Dinamite, Branco,Lima Sergipano... Coused serious injuries in players with the ball (also photogrpher, fece brocked). Today the technology off the ball make ir sefer.
Roberto Carlos kick used to reach 105 mph. And it was faster if curved. 6:10 That curveball kick is well-known in Brazil. It's the Trivela's Kick. (Chute de Trivela)
He once said in an interview that when he was younger he trained for hours kicking medicine ball from 3 to 8 kilos. So kicking a soccer ball was like kicking paper
I remember seeing the the FIFA 2002 world cup, Brazil vs China, Roberto Carlos in a free kick in front of the goal, he shoots, one of the Chinese players in the barrier gets hit in the face and got K.O.!!! Knock out on the ground.... The Chinese player was immediately replaced... That shows how much power he had on that left foot
hello, react goals from luis suarez, edison cavani, diego forlan and alvaro recoba from china, they are from my country uruguay, a big greeting. you will not regret it ...
Roberto carlos was not just only about powerful shoots but the curve he could cause on them by his tgree fingers kicks. Thats why he could sckre goals from a corner kicks.
When you start a video knowing DAMN WELL what the last highlight shown should be, but it wasn't. Bender for Brazil from about 35+ yds, outside of the foot. Remains one of the best free kicks of all time.
