@@maybrittrnningen580 I wasn't around in 1974, but I have come to adore Robin with all of my heart. Yes, he was beautiful with long hair. In my opinion, he was still beautiful even when he was bald. I even have imaginations of what it would have been like to have met and known the wonderful, beautiful man. Robin will be in my heart forever and always💖

Mo's death had to be such a Massive blow to Robin. Glad he found an outlet to distract from his grief somewhat thru never stopping with performing and all the different organizations he was heavily involved in. Also with hosting the charitable events to raise money to support his causes. Helping to get funding and approval for the British Bomber Command was a such a crowning jewel for Robin in my opinion.
This was Oct 18, 2011 I believe. At the time he had metastatic colorectal cancer but didn't know it, he was diagnosed in November and only lived another 6 months.
This interview took place in 2008 (the flower indicates this). Robin was splendid... In 2011, his appearance, unfortunately, already showed how sick he was...
@@ashelia0302 the interview with Alan when he was seriously ill took place on 27 Oct 2011 promoting a song he did to raise money for the British Legion and Help for Heroes. This one was 2008.
I don't understand how he could have abdominal pains and undergo abdominal surgery in 2010 and then find that he had metastasized cancer two years later AFTER experiencing problems for those two years. How did they NOT see this?
He did the surgery in august 2010. They told him after the surgery to do some type of scan, but he ignored them maybe he was feeling great after the surgery and wouldn't have to do another check up. The time between september 2010 and april 2011 he had some returning issues but he refused to do the scan until his family insisted to make him do the scan and that was when they found it. He acknowlged later that he regret that he ignored his health problem and he encouraged everyone has some prolonged issue to go see the doctor immediatley.
His wife ignored it. She blamed it on him, but she did nothing. Then to pretend she was doing something, she brin witch doctors from her druid group and made him herbal tea. With his connections he should have been flown to the states to world renowned specialists, not brought to some small, local hospital in Oxford. He would still be alive if seas advocating for him.
