Good to see Robin Reid looking healthy and well. He was a decent fighter in his day.

I remember watching the fight and I thought Reid won. There were a lot of dodgy decisions back then, all about keeping the hot property unbeaten guy unbeaten to keep the big money pay days coming.

Don't agree that he beat Calzaghe, but Robin Reid vs Sven ottke was one of the dodgiest fights I have ever seen! If I remember correctly, at one point, the referee warned Reid after he landed a hard right hook on Ottke.

Sven ottke retired unbeaten yet so many very very controversial decisions.and I watched Reid vs ottke Reid clearly won every round of the fight.

I watched that fight live. I thought it deserved a rematch. I spoke with Robin and his partner Theresa after the fight. I was gutted for him as it was a close fight. The company I worked for sponsored Robin at the time. he had our Logo on his shorts.

Me and the boys have watched this fight back a few times recently and still don't know how Calzaghe got the decision. We had Reid 2 rounds up with the deduction aswell.

What a pile of garbage from this awful YTS 'interviewer', when he says 'everyone who knows boxing knows you were robbed with the Calzaghe fight.' Calzaghe beat him fair and square and that was on his off night. Reid was battered by Lacy, yet a few months later Calzaghe beat Lacy so badly he was never the same fighter. This interviewer is an embarrassment, just a fan boy in awe of the people he speaks to, who's backsides he kisses. Leave the interviews to Kugan

The calzaghe fight was close. But joe was like 5 rounds up after 5, then Reid came on strong, if he’d of started earlier he would of won, but give joe too much of a head start

Calzaghe won the first four rounds, but the last eight could have gone either way. I felt it was a close fight, but those first four rounds Reid was scared. He woke up in the fifth and gave a great performance.

I always liked Robin and he was robbed big time against Otkke. He gave Joe a good fight but he lost.

Were you drunk watching the fight? I scored it the same as the 2 judges. Plus I think Reid should have had a 2nd point deducted. Warnings and illegal punches in most rounds from Reid. Calzaghe was the clear winner. Plus Reid wanted to hug more than fight. There were times that I thought he might have a crush on Joe Calzaghe. Ha ha

Hugely underrated fighter Robin Reid. Robbed properly by Ottke but not by Calzaghe. 10 out of 10 times Joe Calzaghe wins. Calzaghe's performance against Reid was quite typical for fighters that he didn't really have the motivation for. If a rematch happened, I think that Calzaghe would have taken it a little more seriously and possibly achieve a shut out. That being said, it was close on the night and again, big props to Robin Reid. Glad to see him looking well and happy!

Great fight and closer than the judges had it but joe had more gears to go through. If anything joe made it closer stepping off the gas. The point deduction didn’t seem to make a difference which surprised me

"we've both had great careers" . ignoring the fact that Joe is one of if not the greatest super middleweight in history, the fact that Joe was unbeaten and beat legends who were not past their best especially Hopkins as he went on to win some huge fights after he lost to Joe, oh and the fact that Joe was rated #1 by the ring magazine, let's face facts this guy was a decent journeyman who fought a nobody for a world title ! he got battered by froch and lacy, calzaghe wiped the floor with lacy, Reid would of been stopped by Kessler as well if they ever fought, robin Reid is not even one the best British supermiddleweight don't even think about drawing comparisons to calzaghe that's all that needs to be said.
