Dude, everyone had family issues. The real connection is that they both have evil bad guys for parents. Damien may be Batmans son but most of his life he was raised by his mother's family the league of assassins.

I contend that the Robin from the cartoon while an amalgam of the three main Robins was also the prototype for Damian.

Am I the only person who doesn't ship this. Robin and Ravens relationship was always suppose to go deeper than love this was even show in the original cartoon. They both understand each other and that being the most mature and responsible of the team means they must work together to understand their team mates and how to help them. Robin and Raven understand each other so deeply that it's more than a bond of love or friendship.
