I loved this game back in the day. My go-to gears were always the artemis bow, dance grenade, the phoenix, the bear mine gun (before it was banned), and all of those katanas to get the epic katana. I remember when the super powerful rainbow sword came out (can't recall the name rn), I would have this story in my head that the rainbow sword people and the epic katana people had a rivalry and I would always target them in game so that we could win some fictional war lol.

Catalog Heaven's decline began back when FE was deprecated in 2017, and worsened further with the deprecation of LoadLibrary in 2020 - both of which were what gears relied on. Both of these ended up making the game even more unplayable for new players since every other gear was either broken or nonfunctional, and it opened the way for powerful, gamebreaking glitches such as dim(anchoring the server end via a gear like staff of the raging storm, unanchoring on the client with a gear like Race the Sunset, and walking up to people and killing them when they can't even see or interact with you). Not only were post-FE gears glitchy: Seranok didn't focus on his game, didn't know anything about gears, and didn't bother handing off the game's development to another developer - which is why the bot invasion hurt CH so much. You could try crashing other games, sure, but developers for other Roblox games could at least respond to their game being crashed. Furthermore, proper games aren't as easy to crash. Big games like Deepwoken had issues with dangerous exploits, but the game hasn't been crashed to near irrelevance like how CH was because it had an active devteam that patched the game regularly. It took a YEAR for Seranok to respond - which was after Koneko made a video on CH. And he didn't put anyone in charge to deal with it, no no no, he did nothing to deal with the crashing. Seranok's response was to maybe remove a few gears, but that's about it. Hell, the official Discord server that Seranok made was taken down from the group because Seranok wasn't interested in maintaining it anymore (even though he hasn't interacted in there in MONTHS and left it to the few mods he randomly selected... which included the person who crashed his game with the bots). Cielle_Hellie, the owner of the Catalog Hell crash bot, has plans to reinstate their bots at some point. They stopped after CH was crashed into irrelevancy, but (to my knowledge) is doing it again for sheets and giggles. ------------TL;DR ----------- CH hasn't been updated, the last (major) update for catalog gears was in 2018, and any hope for gears is pointless. CH fell due to the fact that Seranok barely upkept his game and people overlooked it because they don't know the full picture about it. The game is a broken mess because gears are a broken mess, and you shouldn't give him any money. The closest thing to gear updates you're getting are unofficial games like Catalog Gear Place (rescripted gears altogether) and Catalog Zone (Attempts to fix gears). Both games have barely any players and I feel like both deserve attention for what they're trying to do. The last official gear developer Roblox had, TakeoHonorable, spends most of his time in a Discord server for a gear-centric group called "Gear.", which is owned by the user Cr1mmer. You can try talking to him in there if you'd like to. Just remember that official catalog gears are not getting any updates anytime soon, and there's a good chance Roblox will officially deprecate catalog gears due to how unpopular they are.
