Updated 17/06/23: Because the totem speed is increased in recent update, please build only 11 layers (not 13 layer) to avoid despawn. Thank Raluminus for letting me know this and your test! Thank Harukie for nice thumbnail picture!
@@BuuBuuFarmer Also if i could buy this farm from you i built it but its never correct and i have 100b so if i could possibly buy the farm from you (with totem upgrades) how much would i have to give
I saw this vid i cant stop watching it. Listen up. YOUR CONTENT IS AMAZING UR AMAZING UR FARMS ARE AMAZING. I just get so entertained by watching these. They also help out alot this video really helped me with my lmc farm and now i make 1-2 lmc per minute. Its really good for me and i am making 10’s of millions of coins. Thank you so much for your farms and content and please keep posting these farms it would help lots of players. I dont know how you have this much creativity. Thanks for the best content ever.
Wow I am really happy to hear that! It is great to know that my video can help you improve your farm. I enjoy designing and make video about these farms. Sure I will continue posting content like this and sharing with you!
i made a farm design similar to a tower like this, average produce is 2b a day or more if you make more of them but its way too costly, this farm helped me a lot regarding my lpc farms, doesnt make as much as i wanted it too but ill still work with it. Thanks for making this
if you remember me from a couple months ago, I am now making all totems 0/53/53 :)) ty for the epic farm designs, I always liked the ones that pile into one crater packer, not the multi packer ones.
Tip: if you don’t care about looks I’d recommend don’t do the layers on the side just add them on top to make 1 big tower, why? Well if u put them on the side it’s about 100 mil seconds slower since the crops have to go down that staircase when they can just drop, he only did the layers like that bc it looks cool and I totally agree
If only I had the stuff. This looks absolutely amazing! Would it work with things like wheat because that’s all I can afford and also do you have to upgrade the totems?
Thanks for your comment! Yes, it can work with wheat or any no oily crop, as you can see I can do with many crops for fun here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z4Lg7NsC978.html You will need to upgrade totems to make the crate fast. In my opinion, you should start with wood farm (semi-auto farm), or steel farm (auto farm) to have better profit before make a crop farm. But if you still want to make a crop farm, you should do with grape (better with jam), or any no oily crop that you have, because wheat give the lowest profit.
@@aidanplayz2764 I haven't played islands for few months, so I think I don't know exactly what can be improved on your island with new updates. Anyway, having a steel farm is always better before building a crop farm. If you have any question in totem upgrade, feel free to ask me.
@@aidanplayz2764 yeah, you can upgrade totem gradually but it won't give good profit compared to steel farm at the beginning. If you insist to build crop farm, you should build a big farm first (300+ totems), then upgrade totem later, don't upgrade small farm because seed cost
Welp I don’t have water melon seeds and I’m tryna build Dv farm so imma just watch this ig lol also BRO UR GONNA BE SO WEALTHY AFTER AFK FOR 1 HOUR BRO
One layer have 24 totems, so the maximum can be 20 layers (480 totems). I haven't tried it yet so I am not sure. You can use more crate packers and chest as shown at the beginning of video to reduce despawning.
also you may remember me from your old outdated lmc farm where i asked some questions if you remember, ur lmc farm had a few layers of one size and then 1 that it bigger, same applies to here or are they all the same ?
Yes, the old farm was designed in order to use less unique totems (1 group per 3 layers), and because the range of unique totem effect is a sphere so that there was 1 big main layer between 2 smaller layers. However, in this design, all layers have the same size, but it need 1 group of unique totems per layer. I do like this so that it is simpler for people to build ( I can reduce it to 1 group per 2 layers but it will be more complex to build).
In my case, i have this farm together with a animal farm (max large and small animal), 2 copper and 2 gold mines. If i add more steel farm, some machines (smelter, drill, copper press, crate packer, etc.) will stop working sometime...
Yes, this design can be used for any non-oily crop. I recommend try 9 floors first. If you don't have despawn, you can stack more. You can add more crate packers as shown in the beginning of video to reduce despawn if there is.
Thanks for your comment! You can put 0/53/53 on pineapple totems and 23/0/0 on unique totems (I am not sure, the idea is to have your crop fully grow less than 72 seconds).
Thanks for your answer, so I need to upgrade my unique totems to utility 23 but upgrading my pineapple totems to 53 is too expensive, and growing in 72 seconds is not necessary to me, so is there an alternative upgrade?
You can stop at lv 47 instead of lv 53 for quality and efficiency. You will only need 6 gearboxes per totems instead of 19 gearboxes. Your totem will give a bit less crop and harvest a bit slower, but you can compensate this by increasing totem amount. For example, at lv 47, your totem gives 10 crops per 35 seconds (I just assume) instead of 11.5 crops per 30 seconds at lv 53. So you can use 419 totems at lv 47 to have the same production speed as my 312 totems at lv 53. And because your totem cycle take more time, you can also stop at lower utility for unique totems. You will need much less gearbox, hickory wood and pink gear, etc. for upgrading, so the cost is reduced.
@@BuuBuuFarmer Is lvl 47 the minium requirement and I actually dont need it to be efficient at first, because i can upgrade it when I have enough money and materials, and also do I just need 23 lvl for utility on the unique totems?
There is no minimum requirement. You can build the farm with lv 0 totems and upgrade them later. At lv 0 efficiency, a cycle takes 1 minute, so your crop need to fully grow in less than 3 minutes. You can try upgrading utility to lv 12 (only on unique totems). In any case, increase your totem amount first, then focus on quality lv, other things are after that.
True, crop farm is extremely expensive, so people recommend to build wood and steel farm first, crop farm is only for late game. Fyi, I bought seeds from Cletus so it is only 2k+/seed for me. You should also check upgrade cost for totem, which is around 70 - 100m/totem. Seed cost is negligible compared to upgraded totem cost...
Hi, I never AFK too, how much would this farm produce with silver totems and totems without any upgrades per minute/per hour. Also, please tell me how many seeds does it require.
It is depend on what lv of your totems. You can calculate like this: For each totem: large crate production speed = (number of crop per cycle) / (duration of a cycle) / 250 ex: if your totem give 5 crops per cycle, and a cycle duration is 50 seconds, then: 5/50/250 = 0.0004 large crate/second = 0.024 large crate/min = 1.44 large crate/h Then, you multiply with number of totem you have: ex: if you have 264 totems like that: 0.0004 x 264 =0.1056 large crate/second = 6.336 large crate/min = 380.16 large crate/h
yes, this farm is supposed to be upgraded gradually with your resources. You can stop at lv 30-35. When you have gearbox, you can continue upgrade to lv 41, then 47.
Yes, you can. But I recommend upgrade some level in utility instead of using those. They cost woods and gears but their range are much larger (10 blocks, horizontal and vertical directions), they can stack and simpler to use.
It is the same as the layer in middle: 24 main crop totems, 24x3=72 seeds (I recommend 3 seeds:1 totems so that you only need to upgrade utility on 12 other unique totems), and 8 conveyors.
No, because the max speed totem is around 1 cycle/24seconds. With several unique totems at lv 29-35 of utility, your crop can fully grow in 15-16seconds. So further upgrade utility won't make the farm produce any faster.
You mean the totem:seed ratio? Seed cost is much cheaper than utility upgrading cost, so 1:3 is least expensive. Otherwise, they have the same production speed when fully upgraded.
In my opinion, you do not need to upgrade the utility level of the main crop totems. Instead, use those materials and money to upgrade the utility of the unique totems.
Yes, this is exactly what I want to say. Thank you for your comment! Edit: or you can leave your main crop totems like that and upgrade utility of unique totems just to lv 11.
The pineapple totems are upgraded to 0/53/53. The other unique totems in the center are upgraded to 29/0/0 (or 35/0/0 for those on the bottom and the top layers)
Upgrading totem is extremely expensive, so I suggest you should build wood farm or steel farm first. They are less expensive and pay back their cost faster than crop farm. You can build this farm with low lv totem for cheaper version, but its profit will be lower than wood and steel farm.
@@A.L_Editz You only need to upgrade max quality and efficiency on main crop totems, which cost around 60-80m for one totem. You also only need to upgrade some utility lv on totems in center of the farm (other unique totems) if you use this design.
You mean adding totems in the middle? Yes, actually I plan to use that space for new unique totems in future. But for now, you can use it for main crop totems. If you do, be careful about space for planting crops too. One way to avoid totems stealing from each other is placing totems in the middle and crops for them 2 block lower (or higher) than the main layer.
Haha! The previous design can only fit 9 unique totems. Developers added more 3 new totems recently, so I need to update. This design can fit up to 21 unique totems, so you can use this design in longer time.
This kinda look my design but better Since my totem stats are only 29/41/41 it only make 15-16 lpc per min and i only used 240 pineapple totems since im still kinda broke
Oh it is nice to have someone with similar idea. Btw, if your efficiency lv is 41, you can lower your utility lv to save materials for increase more totem amount.
Thanks for your comment. My crops grow fast enough for the totem to harvest (they fully grow in 16s, while a totem takes 24s to harvest at night). So even if I put fertilizer, the totem cycle is still 24s, and the farm speed is still the same. You can use fertilizer in order to reduce the utility lv upgrading requirement for totems though.
Do you mean max out utility, efficiency and quality on every totem? You can do that without messing anything, but it will just waste a lot of materials. By stacking those layers, the utility effect can overlap each other, so you only need to upgrade few lv on several totems to max out the crop growth speed (around 15 seconds). Besides, the utility upgrading cost is the most expensive.
@@BuuBuuFarmer I just made 1 layer and did the 3 seeds per 1 totem and I have each pineapple totem to 29, 31, 40 and the unique totems to 16 utility is that good and then I make more layers
@@reddirtriding1655 Yes it is good. But I think you don't need to upgrade utility on your pineapple totems. Your unique totems with utility lv 16 is already enough to make your crop growth speed faster than your totem cycle duration at lv 31 efficiency. I recommend to save your materials that you use on utility for quality and efficiency of totems on 2 and 3 layers. In summery, you can do 16/0/0 for unique totems and 0/31/40 for pineapple totems.
@@BuuBuuFarmer Sorry for taking up your time, but I have 2 more questions. After upgrading the quality, I have to raise as many totem levels as possible, for example: 19/39/39 Another question I have is that if fertilizers are permanent once they are placed in the soil
@@andredede55 try to reach 0/47/47 on your main crop totems and 29/0/0 on other unique totems at the center. Then, you can either choose to upgrade to 0/53/53 or build another farm in other acc. Fertilizer is permanent until you destroy the block. If you use fertilizer, you just need few lv in utility, because the crop cannot grow faster than 15s
You can upgrade quality and efficiency just until lv 47 instead of lv 53. Then, you can save materials to build another farm in other account. This means instead of building a farm with 312 totems at lv 53, you can build 2 farms in 2 accounts (total totems of 2 farms should be 400+) with totem lv at 47. This is cheaper but 2 farms should give you the same or even higher profit.
Hey i would like to get some inspiration from u, but i have an issue so when my smelter produces iron the iron disappeared after like 1 sec any solution for that?
It seems you have a lot of despawn. You can reduce the despawn by avoiding coal and iron clusters. Check if you use 1 coal totem for 2 smelters. 1 smelter also only need 2-3 iron totems. Reducing the distance from the smelter to the chest also help.
@@exalburst1372 1 coal totem for 1 smelter is too much coal. You can see a cluster of coal when you break your smelter. You should use 1 coal totem for 2 smelters. You can use 3 iron totems for 1 smelter. The smelter run slowly could be due to lag. It is when you have many things running on your island, not due to number of block ( I am not sure about this)
@@yt_julian7561 You can try building it. If it is too lag or despawn, you can use totem disabler to switch between crate farm and steel farm. This 312 totems pineapple farm can have a comparable profit with the steel farm (around 500m/day) if you can upgrade totem to at least 0/41/41, which requires 624 gearboxes.
No, they are the same. Pineapple can be sold at higher price so it is better. Its mesh is weird and it is easier to be stuck on conveyor, but watermelon is also stuck sometime anyway.
Because if you put ladder on "hole block" instead of the grass block next to that hole, the ladder still leaves that hole for crop to drop through and the grass block is spared for planting a seed.
Wow! that is a lot of coins. Thanks, but I make the farm very simple so you can build it easily by yourself. You can just simply stack up those layers shown in the beginning of video, you don't need those extra parts. You can increase amount of totem first. Then, with 1b coins, you buy materials to upgrade totem later. Good luck!
thanks, but no, I remember that he has 600 totems for each of his farm. So in the end, his farm production speed should be nearly 2 times compared to mine. My design is just let you use less unique totems, crate packer and chest, so more friendly-use for people at the beginning.
@@christopher-ew7es In my case, use 1 seed:1 totem, so I need to upgrade utility to 29-35. If you use 3 seeds:1totem, you just need to upgrade utility of unique totem in center to 23, no need to upgrade utility of main crop totems. The point is to make sure your crop grow in less than 72 seconds (for 3 seeds: 1 totem), or 24 seconds (for 1 seed:1totem).
Yes, if you use fertilizer, you don't need to to upgrade much in utility. With your current totem efficiency lv, and if you are using 3 seeds:1totem (or 2 seeds:1totem), you can stop upgrading in utility when your crop can fully grow in 150 seconds (or 100 seconds).
You can check on wiki the mats to max quality and efficiency lv of 1 totem, then multiply with 312. After that, you can also check the mats to upgrade utility lv up to lv 29 of 1 totem, then time with 156.
If you farm pineapple, the middle should has 12 other crop totems (wheat, carrot, potato, tomato, onion, starfruit, radish, pumpkin, watermelon, grape, spinach, and dragonfruit). You can place them anywhere on the brick blocks shown in video. The rest 9 brick blocks are for future unique totems.
My totems are 0-35/53/53. If you have more seeds, you don't need high lv in utility (few totems with utility at 23 is enough). You should upgrade quality>efficiency>utility.
i dont have much upgrade mats, i like to make all my unique totems max so i gain the most possible, what should i upgrade the main crop totem to , i dont care about crop growth speed
@@egrogar If you want to gain the most possible, you need to max quality and efficiency of the main crop totems, not utility of other unique totems. When your crop growth speed is under 16 sec, you don't need to upgrade utility of other unique totems anymore. Any further upgrade in utility won't give you more gain and just waste your upgrade mats because the farm production speed is now limited by totem speed. In summary, the target is to max quality and efficiency lv of main crop totems (0/53/53), and few utility lv in other unique totems (29-35/0/0). You can start with (0/17/17) and (12/0/0) if you don't have many upgrade mats.
I do 0/53/53 for main crop totems and 29-35/0/0 for other unique totems. You shouldn't upgrade quality on other unique totems because they don't harvest crop. You should use those materials for main crop totems in your next layer.
I upgrade utility to lv 35 instead of 29 for other unique totems on top layer, bottom layer and 4 layers at 4 sides. This is because the crops on those layers receive less stacked utility effect compared to layers in the middle.
It is less expensive, but not produce faster. This design is also not suitable to afk overnight, but good enough if you only need fast collecting some crates for trading.
My totems are 0-35/53/53. If you have more seeds, you don't need high lv in utility (few totems with utility at 23 is enough). You should upgrade quality>efficiency>utility.
Yeah you are right. Funnels could cause despawning. But with 312 totems, I still achieve nearly the same production speed as perfect case, so the despawning is negligible here.
