I just realized something fucking genius. They added a health bar on the screen to make you think you’ll get attacked by something even though you never get attacked. I love this game
What an ending and amazing game, he killed himself because he didn't wanna face whatever the hell was making people disappear across the country without a trace. It must've originated from the refinery spill that happened sometime recently after it's opening because its clearly being covered up and is only made light of after the Mayor denies it's involvement. Jim knew that whatever was outside would do something to him without leaving a trace, and Jim knew that it was a creature so strong the mayor called for the assistance of the military to create bunkers, he knew he wasn't the only one to face it armed, and he knew there was only one other way out of this, ESCAPE. That's why when he gets a computer and goes onto the net, the description says "while it lasts", its an interesting apocalyptic scenario and we watch it unfold from Jim's perspective.
The revelation of the gun was probably the smoothest I've ever seen. I kind of had a feeling where the creature was above him for some reason, and he was trying to shoot that. Obviously when I took a closer look, I realized he shot himself. The way his arms start shaking really do an excellent job of just signifying how scared he is. We need more games like this, just with alternate endings, like two or more.
This gives me the vibes of paranoia, anxiety and schizoprenia Every night checking the closets is a sign of anxiety and paranoia Him saying “someone is inside my house” is a sign of extreme paranoia/anxiety The sounds could be just schizoprenia The government guide at the ending just made it worse And when his anxiety and schizoprenia got to max, he decid3d to take the easy way off
For me I felt like checking the closets every night and the paranoid thoughts were very much like OCD. He has to do the compulsions in order to feel safe.
@@coffeemetro paranoia of this kind isn’t usual in OCD. I have schizophrenia and relate a lot to the paranoia of having someone in your house, and stuff like that. And on the other hand, I know a couple people with OCD that have never experienced that. (I don’t mean to come off rude, just sharing my knowledge on to\his topic!)
@@sunbea4477 Paranoia is sometimes seen in OCD, hence why they do the compulsions. For me I fully believed a fire would break out in the night and so I closed all the doors and went over an escape plan basically every hour of the day. (sorry if im coming across as rude though, Jim might have had a schizoaffective disorder and that's a valid idea :>)

I grew up around people with OCD and have been studying psychology for 8 years, so i know it causes paranoia and false beliefs, but i do not think what Jim experiences in OCD. But also, it depends on what you think his reasoning for checking the closets is. If you (like me) think he checks them out of fear that someone’s in his house, waiting to kill him or something along those lines, I think we can both agree its psychosis. I DEFINITELY do understand where you are coming from!!! Also maybe im a little biased because i like projecting on characters i like lol
Masterpiece of game,being scared of something thats not there,its in ur thoughts. the ending was amazing,he couldnt handle all these thoughts because of jim's paranoia,we can see that because he wakes up late to check if someones there, ''being afraid of something thats inexistent'' is the most suiting phrase for this game, 10/10.
This game is excellent at showing how powerful the media is in the modern world. Jim had no idea about the threat being so dangerous until the computer news told him about it. This usually gives a feeling of impending doom and usually greatly exaggerates how bad the problem actually is. The ending is very powerful, both tragic and also very sad when the unknown object turned out to be a gun which Jim bought for defense but due to his paranoid thoughts decided to use on himself rather than face the possible danger behind the door. It adds a very solid layer of tragedy and its an amazing plot twist. Great Game.
He gas lighted himself into thinking that there was even anyone near or inside his house, there was no one. Jim built up anxiety and stress level to the point of paranoia and killed himself because he was overwhelmed. In the end, no one was there That's the scary part, this game had no jumpscares and any disturbing image I.D, there was only anxiety and stress. Shows how well-made this game is
Hi, im a psychologist. This game shows how anxiety can affect peoples mind. This game intercepts with our mind to think we are watching by something, but in reality it's nothing. Its someone's thoughts to think of something like this. The player you here suffers with stage 5 of anxiety, that is not a good sign. If you see your family members lurking with big thoughts, take them to nearest physiotherapy centre. I think Jim is suffering from Anaszerosia, which is a disorder in the left cerebrum of the brain. This disorder makes you or others think so something or someone is inside your property and is watching you. -EA Hospitals
This game was wonderful. I felt scared the further I got through it but it never jumpscared me. I felt a weird sort of kinship in Jim's paranoia... and god, that ending.
@@ZapNstuff maybe he shot himself because he didn't want to fight the kidnapper, or get kidnapped if he lost. Or maybe it's because he was too scared to fight him or he was too scared he would lose and get kidnapped or he was scared he was holding a real gun. He didn't had any fighting skills with a real gun, as Jim was a normal person who bought a computer and checked the news everyday. He knew he had no chance of winning against that thing. He has no other choice, but to shoot himself, to avoid getting kidnapped and seeing the horrors of the thing.
I love the detail where the game tricks you that there will be jumpscares and entities, especially the health bar on the side. The sense of fear that we feel when playing this game and expecting that someone is actually in the house and that there will be a jumpscare is basically how Jim feels in the game.
The awesome part about this game is that, you cant fail. It feels like some kind of ghost is there, but there isnt. Its just psychological horror. Pure awesomeness
for those who do not understand why it looks like the Mandela Catalogue. The end is very similar to him, why? you ask, I will answer: the guy boards up the windows to protect himself, but the "creature" starts hammering on the door as Alternatives, a warning appeared on the TV screen that the picture and sound are similar to the video from Mandela, at the end the guy kill himself as he killed himself in Mandela Mark, that's the whole point.
finally someone says this, I played the game before watching the video, when I saw the pistol I was like, NO WAY, THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE MANDELA CATALOGUE, and I was astonished, so I was searching for videos of the game

This game is simple yet an amazing story. The tension and the horror made me feel like i was Jim, paranoid from the mutant chemical monsters surrounding my house. and my god i loved how the black square reveals to be a freaking *gun*, oh and dont get me on how every night nothing was in the closets at all, it was just fantastic showing that pointless things in games really do show how scared poor Jim was. 10/10 game.
I want a Sequel of a Perspective of the military forces trying to find the missing people and find Jim's Computer and confiscated it after they found Jim's dead Corspe
If there were actually monsters or supernatural entities, I feel like it would ruin the games story in a way. Most of the sounds that occur can be caused by hallucinations and paranoia, which was what Jim was suffering from the whole story, even before the refinery incident and disappearances. Plus, the cause of all those missing people could just be another person, it's possible. I think it having more of a realistic take on horror and how people can fear things that aren't actually there makes it really unique.
If there were a chemical spill, It would be more likely that radiation was the one killing peoples minds, Causing multiple disappearances to nearby woods or etc Who knows.
I think that the paranoia reason is the best explanation but I made my own reason up that their is some alien Anamoly that causes something like a cognitive hazard or memetic hazard
This was a excellent game and it’s ending was quite the twist. The Psychological horror was used great, the fact that there was no jump scares and was still a belt o scare me was cool. The EAS alert added so much more horror and tension. You could basically feel Jim’s fear and paranoia throughout the entire game.
I kinda have a theory: The chemical waste might've transformed multiple people into different sorts of monsters. This explains the fact that Jim bought supplies and the helicopter passing by. In the news, more people are missing. They are either getting killed by the chemical waste monsters or transforming into one. In the end, Jim knows its impossible to kill those monsters. So he decides to kill himself before the monsters kill him. Now.. im not sure if this theory is true or fake. But hey. Thats just a theory. A GAME THEORY. the point of a psychological horror game is to put you on edge. even when nothing's really there, it really succeeds at making you thing that there is. some can put you so on edge that even the smallest change or movement in the game can scare you. like a sudden sound, the tv turning on behind you, the knocking, or the last 2 sets of items he buys on the last 2 days.
There is a theory that says that Jim actually suffered from anxiety and to try to end his anxiety he bought items from the store to play and have fun with them.
I just realized that nothing would have happened if it wasn’t for Jim’s fear. He could have slept every night but his fear didn’t let him do that and at last he had enough and couldn’t take it anymore so he did what he saw the only solution. This game is really dark when you think about it more ngl
It’s more messed up when you realize that he lives very far from the town (I could be wrong about this.) and maybe was just hallucinating because of what he read on the news. (I could also be wrong about this too.)
this is now my favorite horror game. i never expected that he wanted to commit..well you know. I thought he was gonna shoot like a bunch of infected people from the chemical coming in through the door. this games brings an amazing sense of mystery. RIP jim the cool one
As a person who has had anxiety their whole life (and I mean the actual disorder), with paranoia on top, I relate to Jim on a spiritual level. Poor guy, I feel so bad even tho he’s a lego 😭 he just wanted a computer, man.
every horror game is unique in their own ways. As long as the story at least tries to be disturbing and not looking like a cash grab then it’s a good horror game. I still want to see more horror games without a good ending lel
My theory is that due to the Chemical refinery spillage, toxic gases began to flow through the air noted by the sky’s changes. Jim happened to live somewhere on the outskirts of Robloxia, as the days go by the chemicals get worse causing people to go crazy and either off themselves or run away supposedly to hide however this is explained later. As Jim lives in Robloxia and orders gears he exits into fresh air but in turn breathes more chemicals inducing hallucinations at nighttime causing him heavy paranoia and anxiety. As the days go on his mental state deteriorates and so does the world outside, the sky changes and gears are not only more desperate such as water and supplies but are delivered via a military helicopter. At the end Jim breaks and buys a pistol hoping to fight but as night draws in and he watches the door he knows he can’t fight whatever is coming for him. Staring at his gun realising he’s been holding his own salvation he turns the gun on himself finally overcoming his fear as his life of suffering is at an end. Now the ending can be taken two ways, firstly is that it was all Jim’s mind hallucinating the news except for the Chemical spill and everything that occurred was Jim’s hallucinations and he eventually overdosed on the chemicals to the point of no return Or the Chemicals were real, the people on the news who vanished became something undead and hungry invading homes as the police found remains yet the mayor withheld the information. The “Prepare” was a friendly message to literally prepare for the outbreak that Jim was deeply threatened by turning it twisted. The entity stalking him was indeed a zombie, despite Jim never knowing he saved himself from becoming one of them. Jim’s Computer is a prequel to The Undead Coming
I love these Roblox horror games that are disguised as innocent games It makes the player think that everything is fine but a bit off, for example, Submarine Simulator and Stereotypical Obby (and this game i guess) these type of Roblox horror games are smart and cool I hope more of them come out

Fun fact: Jim has this some sort of paranoia feeling that someone is trying to kidnap him or kill him and Jim got too insane he had to kill himself just so he doesn’t have to worry anymore
The ending was like the same thing as mandela catalogue. Ill tell how is it familiar with this but first Mandela catalogue is a anolog horror which is a story between alternates and humanity this analog horror is good as the backrooms and this is the reason, why its familiar with this. Mark was attacked by an alternate in Caesar's house (Mark's friend) he somehow didnt know that caesar was the alternate and somehow cornering Mark in Caesar's room Caesar in his voice or smth is forcing Mark to open the door and saying he has a suprise Mark was in there day by day by day until he had enough. Picked the gun and commit suicide
I think he was the assasin cuz he is always waking UP thinking there's someone in the house, (Cop probaly) and the helicopter thing,and i think the Guy who added Jim in ROCHAT was alucination, since he says to Jim "stay calm" when the cops ARE trying to take down the door but he suicides to not be in prison
Not right, bc there was a chemical spill and people disappearing and whatsoever. He committed self-oof because he knew that he would better be dead than to fight whatever was behind the door. Also, the military warned the citizens about the apocalypse on the tv. Good theory tho
My personal favorite horror game on roblox now. At first I actually didn't know it's a horror game, and when i had to check closet at night I was scared every time. When he got a black square thingy i thought it's gonna be just like a glitch stuff jumpscare at the end, but it wasn't. I also like how game makes you be scared JUST from sound, there is no jumpscares, monsters, just you and a someone in house. Excellent game, i wish there was more games like this.

The fact that you are allowed to slowly open both closets which serve literally zero purpose other than to give you the feeling of paranoia that your character feels is genius in my opinion.
The ending is really deep, jim knew that whatever thing was at the door, he knew he didn’t stand a chance with just an Glock 17, and he didn’t want to die to that “thing” so he had no choice but to end it for himself.

This game is special, because unlike other horror games it just gives you a jump scare and a second of fear before you get used to it. This game is different. It gives you a feeling on how scared the character feels. He literally kills himself because he doesn’t want to feel this fear or pain. Like just imagine just sitting in a room waiting for a monster to crush every bone in your body and the eat your remains. That is literally terrifying and he doesn’t want to feel that pain.
There's something about this game that makes me scared when he wakes up at night even though I already knew that there's nothing that can hurt him. No monsters, or some creatures. When I'm playing on Day 3 night first time, I got really scared and freaked out when the Tv and computer turns on by itself and I'm covering my eyes when I go closer to the Tv expecting that there's a jumpscare. My new favorite horror (psychological-horror) game now. ❤
this game was truely one of those games that made you think "what was that?". he did not want to become missing like the others, so he shot himself. The game felt like the mandela catalogue and thats what i like about it. no big jumpscares, but just anxiety of what's about to happen.
The gameplay and the ending made me develop 3 theories. 1, That maybe, the disappearances weren’t real, and that those who previously heard of the first one on the news also ended their lives which in that way made them sorta… disappear. 2, The chemical in the refinery cause either summoned an entity or made people combust (this is an actual way to die, look it up for proof,) and they vanished that way. Or 3, the computer that Jim had was cursed and made him see or hear things that were not actually happening, making him paranoid.
When Jim realized that was a creature was about to break in the house he choosen death than the unknow end he shot himself to not suffer a fait worse than death
games like this are so interesting because they let you interpret with your own ending, theres alot of theories you can do. the game is quite confusing and has no specific plot.
This game is a masterpiece i have never played a better horror game than this! The atmosphere itself is enough to make you scared and paranoid like jim,and i love how we are connected to him by that.Truly an awesome game hands down.

The worst part is that, if the emergency alert hadn't gone off, Jim probably would have been fine. The creature didn't start doing that until the alert came on and it was trying to get in to find the sound. This game was tense the whole way through, reminds me of The Mandela Catalogue (Which, btw is an amazing series) with how Jim seems helpless and afraid, and he kills himself to try and get out of the situation he's in. It did a good job! A good reminder that any game can be scary, and you don't need blood, jumpscares, or even a mknster you can see to do so!
I'm surprised such a dark game was allowed on the funny lego game Also this would work wonderfully as either a standalone indie game or analong horror series. Wouldn't even have to be related to roblox at all
If somebody translates the other words in the news, for example the first sentence in the first one, the first sentence says “the internet is a pain” there is a lot more to translate
My theory is that The unkwon person is his mind telling "Keep calm Shoot it when it comes. Do not make a noise" Because as we know jim didn't listen and couldn't take it anymore. What if The unkwon person is someone that expereinced thorugh what jim is going too and survived. He held his ground and faced his fears he probably had the same anxiety as Jim did and Jim is telling us " There is someone inside my house" meaning that there is someone hunting him and the not know guy or person is someone who knows Jim or found out that Jim needs help and tips to survive. If there was a Alternate ending Jim would Shoot whatever was there since he was locked and loaded. He would have survived. You see this patern give someone tips and the person has a choice. It's a loop no wonder why all of dissapereances had no leads because they killed themselfs. And now we see A guy or someone helping him and telling him that he will survive. But Jim faced the same fate as the people that dissapeared did. This is a endless sycle of death and choice when you choose to die or listen and live.
Possibly it is also connected to Resident Massacre because if the monster is not seen but it was said that everyone must remain locked up, perhaps the monster is Resident Massacre.
Dude this game is a must play its not scary but the element of opening doors and not knowing whats behind makes it one of the best phycological horror games ever

There needs to be an alternate ending, where Jim opens the door and investigates the sound that could’ve been coming from the forest, far away from his house. Such as screams and creepy moans..
I love how it starts with Jim buying miscellaneous items, such as those coil’s, paintball guns, food and drinks, and then accelerates to him stocking up on food and water, then boards to board up his windows, and then a *gun*
i just played this and omg when the gun was revealed i literally gasped. and paired w the shaking of the arms it really captures the essence of pure fear.
Those who don’t know what happened: Jim realises the person in his house trapped him inside this universe as why there is an edge to the world and the packages come inatantly. Jim can’t see the safety house anywhere and seeing the helicopter disappear, he realises he’s in a parrelel universe he cannot escape in this life, with the gun he shoot’s himself in hopes of having a better life
Bro, you stupid, the whole story is that there was a creature that was taking robloxians, and Jim found out by the news, and the chat room, so he prepared for the creature by getting beans and water, hammering his windows with wooden boards, and getting a gun to protect himself. When Night came, he stayed quiet, and didn't make a sound, as the chat said. But the warning on the TV made noise, and the creature was near his house. Scared to confront the creature, Jim used his gun to kill himself.
No Ghost/Monster that hurt you, no Jump scare, no Hiding, there is something that kills you but it's not a Ghost/Monster, there is no Jump Scare but something makes you feel scared at the Game for some reason, there is no Hiding in this Game because you do not need to hide (maybe) because you haven't had the chance to meet the ghost/monster yet.
When i played the game it actually bugged out and after getting the gun instead of an ending i only wandered around the house with monsters banging on every window around me, forever. I dunno if that's better or worse than the actual ending ngl
