Very cool video! You did not mention Abstract_Alex’s “Shard Online” which was the actual sequence to “Alfheim Online” after players highly demanded a “new Swordburst Online”. In general, the game went pretty badly, (imo because it was too hard and punishing when it launched) and I guess Abstract_Alex and his team learned from these game design mistakes to create the most successful, Swordburst 2.
Shard Online was beautiful, with a gritty, all-terrain landscape. The maps were also huge. Unfortunately, leveling up was slow, and as you died, you had to walk all the way from the beginning to reach your previous location. It was a game you could call “hardcore”, and people were not too fond of that. It was also their first game with fully animated mobs, which are a staple on SB2, so it’s interesting to see their transition and improvement from SBO to SB2.
I grinded Shard Online until the end. It really was grindy, but I also really enjoyed the dungeon combat grinding materials. I was really into the hardcore aspect. It's sad how many people have forgot about it.@@lin-k1318
As a big fan of SAO Im really going to play this and the fact that almost everything looks the same to SAO would really give me like a "realSAO-like experience" so yeah. I mean SB2 is good but SBO just felt like i really was in SAO
The game where by adapting, I ended up learning english by accident. I technically only know english because of SAO and it's fangame mmorpgs like this one
I hope sb3 has the same system as sbo. Heavier and stronger armour was slower while lighter and weaker armour was faster. Also having a healing sword in the right hand and a damage sword in the left. Does anyone remember rocking full heavy armour with a slate on floor 5
Swordburst 2 is starting to come to it's end, perhaps is already finished, and now all we have to do is wait for Swordburst 3 Don't care about world zero, it's a pathetic copy of swordburst 2 even if it's made by same devs
i honestly liked the sbo1 mechanics way better from the sbo2 ones, being able to sell swords, the drop down menu, jobs, basically everything , except i hope they make a better better combat system.

i never played sbo past floor 1 cuz sb2 released when i tried the game and i knew there were stuff that made it over from sbo to sb2 from wiki, but damn i never even emagined how many enemies, floor themes, items and even floor 6 of sb2 came straight from sbo. great vid, happy to have it recommended to me
