You should've hid in the attic when the cute guy looking monster was about to hunt you down And for the Taki monster, it cant go through the door of buildings. The lights wont protect you if you're near it, what they mean by its attracted to lights is that if you turn on the lamp posts, it turns it off. (Its not attracted to flashlights btw). Sorry if its confusing
