Actually, I suspected Laurens from the moment she appeared and we were introduced to her. She was the only person closest to the basement, and she seemed like she was in a rush to leave. She didn't wanted to answer questions and gave such short responses. Katie however, was intent on answering, she wasn't seem to be in a rush and just took her time. Albert seemed calm and relaxed, and even mention CCTV, which if he was the criminal, why would he mention that, that's a sure way to get caught. All clues to me, pointed to Lauren. She also mentioned that Lilly stole something from her, which can cause her to be angry at Lilly. Tbh, idk how people didn't see Laurens as the criminal when it was very settled that she was the one who did it. Of course, the black hair and pink clothing would have definitely pointed to Katie, Lilly friend, but remember, sometimes criminals can use fake evidence to trick the cops and authorities. You gotta read dialogue sometimes and look at the person's whereabouts.

Honestly it makes sense towards why lauren was the suspect and the killer, lauren had said that lily stole from her, after i talked to lauren i went back up to lilys room and the star was behind the painting so maybe thats what lily stole from lauren, lauren then proceeded to not state what was stolen and then said "excuse me i need to go find something" implying she was looking for the star the moon and the sun. the cloud was already in the basement because she left it there. i need to be honest i did think it was albert because of the whole his family is full of murders but he is the protector. THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD GAME THOUGH! does anyone have any more game recommendations i can play?
I agree. Like it suggested, I took notes the entire game. From what I could tell, the most likely suspect was either Albert or Katie. The only evidence suggesting that it was Lauren was that the girls were in the opposite room from her and that Lilly stole from her and Lauren refused to say what that stolen item was (which we don’t even learn). Albert’a family has a history of murderers. That would make him a more likely suspect. But he seemed cooperative, so I was relatively skeptical. I was leaning on it being Katie, which is who I chose. They roamed the halls together, and then one night they stop because of an argument? What argument? And they’re both kids, or young people. Which is why I found it strange when there was a knife in the toilet. Since it was actually Lauren, who I feel had the least amount of involvement in this case, it seemed like poor planning for an adult. You don’t murder someone with a knife and then dump it-uncleaned!!-in a toilet. I’m assuming she didn’t use gloves, either, because then that would have been key evidence. Fingerprints should have been left. I’m not sure when this took place, but I think they should have the technology to identify a person based on their fingerprints. It seems more logical for a person whose brain isn’t fully developed to plan so poorly and obviously. We don’t know what Lilly stole from Lauren, we don’t know why Lilly and Katie had an argument, and we don’t know why Lilly was underground/in the basement. Did Lauren follow her a steal a knife from the weapon collection? Why was there a gun on the floor? There’s a lot left unclear. I hope it’s answered in the next mystery, if there is one. Sorry if there’s any spelling mistakes, I’m on my phone and can’t be bothered to check lmao
@@sophxxe I was actively angry when the killer was Lauren. Like how tf does this game expect me to know it was her when almost all the evidence points to Katie especially if the murder wasn’t planned at all.
I really thought it was Katie, so I chose her, and when it was revealed to be Lauren, I was confused. but when I looked back at my notes afterwards, I realized that i missed something: Lauren said Lilly stole something from her, and that thing was the treasure because Lilly almost got it. I thought I could eliminate Lauren from the list of suspects because of the dark hair. I knew it wasn't Albert because I knew from the notes he was trying to protect the treasure. Around 18:40 made me jump out of my seat, I don't normally get jumpy but with the music and the tight corners seeing her there made my heart race!! This is why I don't play roblox horror games, I watch the walkthroughs ;p xD
I voted Albert the first time, but now that I’m rewatching this, I can totally see how it’s Lauren. Not only does she seem threatened and uncomfortable when questioned, she blames it on Katie. I found the argument a bit random between Lilly and Katie, but how would Lauren know they had an argument if her and Lilly don’t talk much? She’d have to have overheard it, which proves Katie was telling the truth. Not to mention she had a motive (Lilly stole something (aka as said in the note, the treasure) from her) which is definitely why she would kill. However, with Katie, she did not seem threatened at all. Her argument “excuse” was proven by both Albert on the CCTV (which he wouldn’t mention had he been the killer) and Lauren. Although it is confusing because Why was she standing in front of the room where half of the evidence is located? How did Lauren get a white button? Was she framing her? It’s all confusing, but I can see the developers mindset. Also, the TV said expect the unexpected.. which I think means that she framed Katie.
I knew it was that person, as a huge fan of mystery books and true crime the murderer always ends up being the person who you expect the least to do the crime.
ok this game made me extremely mad. tbh it was pretty easy though, but i thought the gun was used on SOMEONE, not to be put on a rack. the reason this game really pissed me off is because (dont click read more if you havent completed it/don want spoilers) the evidence didnt point to lauren at all. the piece of hair was BLACK, so i ruled her out first. then it was between albert and katie. i couldnt find a motive for albert, causing me to lean towards katie even more. the article of clothing was pink (but to be fair i cant remember if it was the victims clothing or murderer), and katie was literally WEARING A PINK SHIRT. and katie and lilly were literally in an argument, which could have been the stressor to the murder. I thought they were arguing about the treasure, and thought she murdered lilly to find it herself. if you read the papers, you would know that someone wanted to find the treasure without anyone and keep it for themselves. i shouldve listened when the tv in the lobby said *expect the unexpected...*

I did most of it on my own! Until i can't find the Sun because i'm blind LMAO. I knew it was Lauren Davis, I have quite a bunch to share to why i knew it was her. First of all, Katie said that she and Lilly had an argument, which could be the reason why Katie kept searching for the treasure on her own. AND if Katie kept roaming around, then she wouldn't have the time to kill her own friend. Now we have 2 suspects left, The owner and Lauren Davis, even if the Owners family are murderers, I don't think it would be him, just because his family are a bunch of murderers, doesn't mean he'd be like them. I am more suspicious of Lauren Davis than the Owner. Especially when i found the brown hair, it's definitely hers as she's the only one who has brown hair among them. And, her room is near Lilly and her friends room. Also, if the friends were roaming around, they could possibly be looking for the treasure, which is confirmed true. Now, let's talk about one of the notes. The one in the basement, Diary Entry 37, it was mentioned that ONE of them was trying to protect the treasure. It's obviously the Owner of the hotel. Since, the treasure is hidden in the hotel and he wouldn't talk about it, it's clear that he's trying to PROTECT it. Next one, the note also said "and the other one is trying to get it before us" the main thing here is to FOCUS on every sentence, "and the other ONE is trying to get it before US", "Us" is used when it's talking about 2 or more people. Lilly and Katie are friends right? And they would roam around together, so now, we're left with the word "ONE" since the Owner and Katie are proven innocent, it's Katie.
I had a feeling that it was Lauren because she said that when crime had occurred, Lauren said she was in the library reading about the hotel and it’s history, she later then said that she didn’t find anything on the hotel. The hotel had a sketchy past and I think that was known, Lauren lied because if she really was reading about the hotel’s history she would’ve known that the hotel had a sketchy past.
i thought it was lauren from the start but the comments tricked me into thinking its katie because i thought everyone had the brains to know its lauren and not someone else
My theory is that lily stole the treasure or clues to find the treasure from lauren (which would explain lauren’s dialogue) then katie and lily argued about what to do with it or who should get it (which explains kaite’s dialogue). They all went to the hotel because of it’s history but in reality they all wanted to find the treasure.
I actually voted Lauren the first time I played it, since, so many evidences were actually pointing to her, she was the only person in the basement, where the notes abt the treasure mostly appeared, on the diary page entry 37 (in the basement) I concluded that the one protecting the treasure was Albert and the ones who were trying to get it were Lilly and Katie and Albert's family was just arrested because of suspicion of murder meaning: It wasn't confirmed and Lilly probably stole the star or sun from Lauren that's why she said they were so close to getting the treasure.
LMAO i’m so mad i literally figured out the code because of the 3 evidence things, pink dress piece, black hair, yellow paper but i clicked like the orange brownish instead of yellow cause it matched the paper more. also i thought the gun was gonna be used for something in the future lol thanks for the video tho!!
I picked Albert first time, it was close between him and Lauren. I was playing wiht my cousin, my device lost connection so I had to share with my cousin. The reason we thought it was Albert was because of the bookshelves, seeing how a bookshelf could've been moved we suspected it was him, mostly due to the fact there was a bookshelf behind him. In addition, he was working for the hotel for a while possibly meaning he could've been involved in the murder. Me and my cousin both thought Lauren was anti-social and that was the reason why she didn't want to talk. Katie was easy to be taken down as a suspect. I felt the place where the boards took you deep down was a bit stupid, but of course it's whst ever roblox horror game does. Looking back on it now to find out that Lauren did it is so obvious, however you just get too focussed on who it could be that you forget about some minor clues. I found the maze inside the hotel to be a bit unlogical. I liked the dropped notes around the hotel. 9/10, perfect game!
I'm still a bit confused on why a lot of the people in this comments section didn't even suspect Lauren and assumed Katie. For those who picked katie because she was "OBVIOUSLY" the killer and that even a 3 year old could figure out, remember this funny little rule: "The killer is literally never the one who is obviously guilty like never, never has that happened in a detective game like seriously, if anything the one who is obviously guilty is obviously not guilty"

I was sure it was Albert, i figured the dark hair was supposed to mean that it COULD NOT be Lauren, as sus as it was that she could hear the argument while being in the opposite room seemed to having nothing to do with the evidence. The game acted like the evidence was the key to knowing who did it but it was just for the sake of the story. After I narrowed it down between Katie and Albert I decided that it was likely Albert given the button would make sense because of his outfit but Katie's would not. So much potential, down the drain.

I guessed Katie Jones at first because of her dark hair, white button on her pant, and pink clothing which wasnt necessary. Now that im watching this i actually approve that it was Lauren Davis who was in charge of Lily Smith"s Murder. Because she could've possibly sneaked into Katie Jones's room and cut a strand of her hair when she was asleep. She could've possibly found a way to frame her by killing Lily Smith, then she put the knife in her toilet to hide the evidence. And from what it looked like, Lily Smith's silhouette actually ran somewhere. And where was that? To the door who had the treasure behind it. But the black hair and pink clothing could've been to represent Lauren Davis blaming Katie jones right? But people can actually use weapons, fake evidence to trick the others. Possibly Lauren Davis used gloves and killed Lily Smith with it, Asked Katie Jones to hold it saying it was a fake gun. And ofcourse it wasnt Albert Hall because he has golden buttons. And yeah. But Albert Hall was chill, taking his time to talk. Katie Jones was just like Albert Hall, taking her time to talk to actually figure out who murdered her friend and speak with the others. Lauren Davis in the basement kept saying "Uh" frequently Which could possibly mean shes nervous. And looking at it again, it seemed like she was in a rush for something. the rush could've been possibly to dispose of her evidence. Looking at it correctly she was actually scared to be found out. She used "..." Frequently aswell. And from one of my theories, Katie Jones and Lily Smith loved to roam around at night as it said in the game. So what if Katie Jones and Lily Smith were the ones wanting the treasure for themselves? And Lauren Davis found out about that and wasnt happy. because she was so jealous she murdered Lily Smith knowing Katie Jones would stop to investigate. Now that i rewatch this i actually feel dumb now that i think about it.
the game is pretty lame constructing the ''investigation''. so you're right that katie should be the murderer. anyways it was just a horror game, it's like the creator just got bored in the process and decided to switch the type of game.

Same question. I suspected Lauren very hard because of what notes said and because of her suspicious behavior during her interrogation but when they presented dark hair, i literally got confused, because Lauren did not have dark hair, nor did victim. That sounds like a mistake from author’s side.
Lauren has dark brown hair but the hair on the table is black. The way Lauren confesses is poor and lazy writing and plus even if Lilly and Katie found the treasure from the vault wouldn't that make them thief's? And how would they get out of the hotel without being seen? Definitely alot wrong with the story poor writing probably made by an eleven year old
honestly it was obviously lauren, in a note it said that there 2 dead bodies of men in the basement, and who was in the basement? lauren, she said she was there 24/7, she would've reported the bodies beforehand, and lets js not ignore the fact she literally said "It does not matter" she sm was so sus, i stepped on her panel, at first i thought it was katie because of all the evidence,, but i js stepped on lauren because she was acting sus and the dead bodies

the ending was super annoying to me because i took notes the ENTIRE game and then it showed me who the murderer before i could even read through all of my notes.
at the end i was like "ok so victims clothing. dark hair and notes dark hair can mean all of them but they did mention something about the owners family being murderers so it can be the owner right? dang it Crystal think. i think its smiths roommate its gotta be! ... probably not AAH I DONT KNOW"

And the other woman said "She took something from me" which i think she is either referring to the treasure or the star or sun which is the key to the basement. And ppl were murdered in the same ways before so it couldn't be the friend.
I was suspecting lillys friend and albert because lillys friend could've of gotten mad at her and killed her and alberts family had murders so i thought those 2 people but after i read the comments it made more sense laurens was the killer

My brother voted Katie and when he looked at me because I'm standing at the platform of Lauren then when it showed a red light on Lauren I was happy because Lauren was suspicious and when Lauren said "she stole something from me" and said "it doesn't matter" so I was suspicious and think it was Lauren the thing is my brother is addicted to roblox and I'm not,although I guess it right'
