I really enjoyed the demo of this game, and I agree; the music and gameplay don't really match the world all the time. The marketing too; tends to lean into this hype game with great tracks, but then the world is dark, and energy-less
looks like a hell of a lot of fun(with the exception of the level variations)! but the fact that i have no sense of rhythm will make it harder for me than for normal people! but i'll definitely give it a try!
Awesome review!!! Thank you for mentioning us 😍 Really appreciate it It was fun to write music for the Robobeat. We also released the complete soundtrack yesterday. Check it out!
I hate how people straight up jumps in and compares any rhythm based shooter with Metal Hellsinger, where as B.P.M released way before that, and in ways that it seems MH copied from B.P.M :'') Just a small rant. But yeah, ROBOBEAT is AMAZING! 🔥🔥🔥
@@ZlimBratSki Not quite the same as ultrakill movement and that bit is really messing with my brain, for me that's the first thing that needs polished along with some of the things that need parry timing fixed like the homing orbs, those feel ungodly hard to time. That said, the comments under the game in steam are promising because the dev, or at least somebody, is listening and taking feedback.
Yeah enemies and environments, they both stay very sameish and most of all bland. Which plays a big role in the game, but the core gameplay feels good :)
You can fiddle and adjust a lot with your custom soundtracks, it has a build in customization thing. It never interested me much as the music is good and I always like to hear what the developer intended me to hear. But you can do a lot to make it work :)
