I shot and directed this spot in 35mm. Robert Barnes and I built the sets. Richard Searls was the DP. The agency was Warren Marketing. The opening and closing scene was shot at the South Portland shipyard.
Thank you. It was fun to shoot and create the sets and props. I have one of the skyscrapers in my yard as an ornament. The last shot with purple cubes and columns was just ice cubes and spare parts from a rented dolley. Sort of a fortress of solitude.
I had the little guy at the end, with the standing "charger" thingy. I got him mixed with other Robocop toys from the live-action TV series and I never even realized they weren't from the same line
To be honest, Rbocop 3 wasn't that violent at all. Pretty kid friendly and "toyetic". Game on the NES based on the Robocop 2, on the other hand, with huge bottles of Nuke scattered across the city, brains in a jars, screaming and jumping to their doom hostages...
I have all these or at least most of them. My brother had the 12' figure with the moving mouth which he gave to me. I got another one about a year later with the box and accessories. Theres 3 versions of the medium and small sized figures. For the medium ones, one had guns, another a jet pack, and another a bazooka. They each said different phrases. For the small ones, one had weapons, one a jetpack, and another a powering station. Instead of dialogue, they each made different sound effects.
I had is a Chinese knock off of the smaller Robocop and his station. They are very similar, although I can see they made a few differences from original, or the new mold altogether.
@darthvenom305671 Not all r-rated films are scary. I've been watching RoboCop since I was like 5! But I know what you mean. I saw the original Amityville Horror on TV when I was like 10-11 and was freaked out!! For like a week I was afraid my house was haunted and that was just from the tv version.
@darthvenom305671 IDK toys for r-rated films isn't like saying its toys from an x rated film. Kids can still see r rated films in theatres as long as a adult accompanies them.
@crissrudd4554 well i don't r-rated moviees are exactly sae for kids LOLZ but hey that's up to the parent ! since ya know the kids will practically get scared for life XD i won't be surprised if they made a saw cartoon !
@crissrudd4554 well what about aleins vs predator bith properties are r-rated and yet they have kids toys ya see this is what happens when you take ur kids to see an r-rated movie !
